Day 1

Mount Hagen

Start your adventure off in the seaside capital of Port Moresby. In the morning, you’ll board your luxurious personal aircraft and enjoy a comfortable flight to the volcano city of Mt Hagen. Here, you’ll take a private guided tour of the charming township and see a colorful local market and the Keltiga Cultural Village. After, you’ll check in to the accommodating Rondon Ridge Lodge and rest up for an exciting day ahead.

Day 2

Mount Hagen

Today, you’ll travel to the lush green Wahgi Valley and take a tour of the traditional Polga village. Here, you’ll meet mystical tribe members and witness a fascinating mudmen performance. Ancient tribes believed that mud disguises took on supernatural powers and had the ability to scare enemies away. In the late afternoon, you’ll head back to the comfortable Rondon Ridge Lodge and relax in the evening.

Day 3

Ambunti

Begin the day by flying to the quaint town of Ambunti. Once landed, you’ll embark on your exhilarating Sepik canoeing adventure. Jump in your canoe and paddle along Papua New Guinea’s longest river and pass by fascinating villages hidden from the modern world. After a day of adventure, check into the cozy Ambunti Lodge and enjoy a hearty meal before retreating to bed.

Day 4

Ambunti

After breakfast, you’ll continue your exciting Sepik Canoeing Adventure. Today, you’ll paddle through the stunning Wagu Lake and pass by the breathtaking Hunstein mountain range. Home to a plethora of exotic wildlife and rare plant species; you’ll be sure to see fascinating animals and beautiful flora and fauna in this special region. In the late afternoon, you’ll head back to the Ambunti Lodge and rest for the remainder of the day.

Day 5

Tari

Board your personal charter aircraft in the morning and fly to Tari, a rustic town where people still wear distinctive traditional dress. Here, you’ll take a stroll through the pristine rainforest and enjoy an afternoon of birdwatching while trekking through lush pathways. After, you’ll settle in at your room at the Ambua Lodge, an award-winning, eco-friendly establishment with beautiful views of the Tari Valley.

Day 6

Tari

Today, you’ll spend a second day exploring Tari. In the morning, you’ll head to the remote Pepoko village, home to the famed Huli Wigmen tribe. Here, you’ll meet Huli villagers dressed in elaborate headdress,and learn how to make your own wig. After, you’ll participate in a traditional Huli barbecue and feast on a succulent pig roast.

Day 7

Bensbach

In the morning, step onto your personal aircraft and fly to Bensbach, an isolated village in the southwest corner of Papua New Guinea. With endless green plains and no rocky regions, this unique landscape has allowed wildlife to thrive in the area. After your arrival, settle in to your room at the serene Bensbach Wilderness Lodge and spend the remainder of the day exploring your new surroundings.

Located in one of the most remote areas of PNG, and probably the best part of the country for wildlife enthusiasts, Bensbach Wildlife Lodge is situated on a peaceful flood plain teeming with flora and fauna; indeed, nearly 200 species of birds have been recorded in the area. Bensbach accommodates up to sixteen guests in two separate wings, each linked to the main lodge building that houses the dining area, a well stocked bar and comfortable lounge.

Day 8

Bensbach

After breakfast, embark on a guided tour of Bensbach and trek through grasslands teeming with deer, wallabies, snakes, monitor lizards and more. After, take a stroll through the nearby floodplains, an important stopping point for migratory birds. Here, you’ll enjoy an afternoon of spectacular birdwatching before heading back to Bensbach Wilderness Lodge.

Day 9

Bensbach

Enjoy one last day in Bensbach and experience Mother Nature at her best. Head to the wetlands in the morning and admire large flocks of pelicans, pygmy geese and sea eagles as they hunt for fish from the sky above. For those interested in fishing, you’ll have the opportunity to catch the feisty barramundi, which can grow up to nearly 40 inches in length.

Day 10

Departure

On your final day, take one last scenic private flight back to Port Moresby. Here, we wish you farewell and are more than happy to assist you with your next travel arrangements. In the afternoon, you’ll head to Port Moresby Jackson's International Airport and check in for your flight home or to your next exciting destination.
