Amanpuri
Amanpuri, which means “peaceful place,” is a magnificent resort created by the architect who designed the Winter Palace of the former Shah of Iran. The resort has 40 secluded pavilions, each with a private outdoor terrace overlooking the Andaman Sea, and come with a personal cook and butler. Dining options include The Restaurant, which serves Italian cuisine, and The Terrace offers Thai and European specialties. Amanpuri has a Beach Club, with windsurfing and hobie-cats available, a 20-meter lap pool and a starting point for diving, snorkeling or fishing. Other facilities include a business center, floodlit tennis courts, and a fitness center with state-of-the-art weight training and cardiovascular machines and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the sea. Wi-fi is available in all rooms and public areas. The resort is 25 minutes from the airport in Phuket (HKT).

The Banyan Tree Phuket
The Banyan Tree Phuket is located on Bang Tao Bay next to the Andaman Sea. There are 115 villas: the Plunge and Spa Pool villas feature “floating” bed pavilions set amidst tranquil lily ponds and have private plunge pools, sunken baths, and outdoor showers. The resort has five restaurants including Saffron, which serves Thai dishes, and the Watercourt Restaurant, which serves Mediterranean, Asian and Western cuisine. The resort’s facilities include a library, several swimming pools, a tennis court, and fitness center. Instruction in water sports and classes in meditation, Tai Chi, and yoga are also available. The Laguna Phuket Golf Club is nearby, and offers a world-class course. There is no business center at the hotel. The resort is a 20-minute drive from Phuket International Airport (HKT).
