Mark J. Holtzman
CFO & Board Member
Mark has over twenty years of experience in financial management and administration. He is currently the CFO of Skymoon Ventures, LP, and serves as the acting CFO for Remote Lands.
Previous to Skymoon Ventures, Mark spent four years consulting with several early stage start-up companies, creating financial models, assisting with business plan presentations, and developing the corporate infrastructures and accounting processes. Additionally, during this time, Mark served as a financial consultant for two large bankrupt estates: Webvan and Excite@Home. Previously, Mark was one of the initial hires at Webvan, where as the CFO, he helped raise significant capital to grow the company to over $400M in revenue, serving ten markets with 5,000 employees. Prior to Webvan, Mark was Group Controller at MicroAge, overseeing several finance administration matters for this Fortune 500 company ($5B revenue). Mr. Holtzman earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1981 and his MBA degree from the University of Michigan in 1983, and he earned his CPA license in 1985. Mark also serves on the Board of Directors and is the Treasurer of a prominent Silicon Valley non profit institution.
