Event Venues

The hotel also has plenty of room for events, conferences, parties and meetings, including eight designated areas including an amphitheater, lotus pond and a lawn with a Buddhist style prayer room suitable for weddings and other special occasions.  Additionally, the hotel offers bespoke packages for events such as weddings and anniversaries.

Fitness Center

The Dhara Dhevi possesses a well-equipped fitness center, with workout machines, free weights, and complimentary yoga and fitness classes.  In addition, there are 6 acres of beautifully landscaped space for jogging; this area is best enjoyed in the morning and early evening, before the heat of the midday sun.

Lanna Kids' Club

Featuring a series of themed activities, from Northern Thai-style paper collages to painting the four-legged residents of Dhara Dhevi (water buffaloes and elephants) with clay, the Kids' Club allows children to explore the expansive reaches of the Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi.

Spa

The Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi boasts an Ayurvedic center and spa with 25 private treatment rooms. The spa’s design is modeled on an ancient Burmese palace, and comprises a large, teakwood structure covered by a seven-tiered roof designed to emulate the seven steps to nirvana.  The spa offers traditional, regional Lanna and Royal Thai massages, Ingham-style Egyptian reflexology, a range of Ayurvedic therapies, and a number of beauty services.

From fine French cuisine at Farang Ses, to classic and Northern Thai dining at Le Grand Lanna, the Dhara Dhevi provides an archipelago of flavours amongst its various restaurants, to satisfy even the most discerning of tastes. Set amongst a stunning backdrop of intricate architecture, and well-groomed grounds, the dining experience is second-to-none.

Akaligo

European and international food in an alfresco setting over looking the gardens, in the evenings look out for the live jazz band. Menu highlights include grilled lemon rock lobster, whole baked snapper in salt crust and white wine sauce and warm chocolate soufflé.

Colonial Pool Bar

The pool bar serves light snacks and a variety of drinks, cocktails, mocktails, smoothies, fruit juices and teas. Guests may relax at the shaded tables or lounge back on the comfy sunbeds.

Farang Ses

Farang Ses serves fine French cuisine alongside a large wine list. Menu highlights include duck terrine with white Porto wine jelly and warm brioche, slow braised wagyu beef “Burgundy styke” and warm apple tart tatin with double vanilla ice cream.

Fujian

Fujian has the cinematic feel of dining in a 1930s Shanghai mansion. The restaurant serves a variety of Chinese delicacies from Peking duck and wok sautéed prawns Szechuan style to pan fried beef Hong Kong style and Yang Chow fried rice.

Horn Bar

For a drink with drama, head to the theatrical Horn Bar. Decked in animal horns, Burmese masks and mythological artwork the Horn Bar comes alive in the evenings and serves a selection of high-quality liquor, signature cocktails and tasty nibbles.

Le Grand Lanna

Situated in a series of wooden northern Thai style buildings, Le Grand Lanna serves classic and northern Thai style dishes in an authentic atmospheric setting. Expect to find red curried crab, spicy papaya salad and grilled yellow fin tuna fish with lemongrass and Thai organic herbs.

Loy Kham Bar

Loy Kham Bar serves drinks and snacks in a beautiful wooden building next to the infinity pool, overlooking the lush green rice paddy fields of the resort.

Oriental Shop

The Dhara Dhevi Shop is decorated in a colonial Victorian tea house style with white walls and wicker furniture. Pay a visit for afternoon tea and sweet treats such as melt-in-your-mouth macaroons that come in Champagne, Uganda chocolate, Apple and wasabi, Jasmine and Black truffle flavors and savories such as smoked salmon finger sandwiches.
