Shangri-La Guilin

Why We Love This Hotel :

Location: The limestone mountains of Guilin form one of China’s most magical landscapes.

History: The Shangri-La’s traditional Chinese-style architecture allows guests to immerse themselves in the history and culture of Guilin.

Service: Round the clock service is provided to all guests, with suite guests and Horizon Club guests assigned a personal butler.


Though most visitors to Guilin are leisure travelers, the Shangri-La offers the full spectrum of business services. The world-class CHI spa is also on-hand to revive and invigorate guests, with an  indoor pool and an outdoor freeform swimming pool for ultimate relaxation.

CHI, The Spa

Offering techniques that help the flow of chi energy through the body, the CHI spa is open from noon to midnight. Signature therapies, facials, wellness massages, Chinese traditional medicine-inspired rituals and wraps are all provided in a calm and soothing environment.

Health Club

A spacious and modern gym offers all new exercise equipment, personal trainers, LCD TVs and fresh green views. There's a sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi onsite and massage services are offered until 2am.

Horizon Club Room

Open to all Horizon Club guests, this lounge provides complimentary snacks and drinks all day, plus evening cocktails, private check-in and late check-out, personalized butler service, meeting facilities and airport limousine.


The resort's meeting and event facilities are fantastic - with a grand ballroom that can hold up to 1,000 guests, and eight other function rooms and a board room. A professional event planning team is there to help guests ensure their events run smoothly, and state-of-the-art conference and meeting facilities will be both useful and impressive.


Guests have the use of an indoor heated swimming pool. and outdoor freeform pool and a children's pool. Towels are provided.

From casual all-day dining, to intimate dinners and lunch meetings, the Shangri-La Guilin provides exemplary dining opportunities. Local and regional cuisines are offered, as well as international dishes and a wide array of wines, beers and liqueurs.

Li Cafe

Breakfast and dinner buffets are served in this vibrant venue, with live cooking stations offering everything from tandoori to teppanyaki. Guests can enjoy local and international cuisine in the dining room or in-room with 24/7 room service offered.

Lobby Lounge

Guests can relax with coffee, tea or an evening cocktail in this elegant lobby space. Floor-to-ceiling windows showcase the property's landscaped gardens and well as Guilin's undulating terrain.

Pool Bar

Open from 10.30am to 6pm, poolside dining is available to guests wanting to enjoy Guilin's tropical climate. Juices, light snacks and alcoholic beverages are served.

Shang Palace

The signature restaurant of Shangri-La, this venue offers authentic Cantonese, Hunan, Guilin and Huaiyang cuisine in an elegant setting. Fine dining creations are offered by executive chef Cheng Hong Yeng. Shang Palace is open for lunch and dinner.

U Bar

This pub-style restaurant offers Western grills and a wide range of beers in a relaxed casual setting. Guests can unwind with a game of pool with their evening drinks.
