Why We Love This Hotel :

Location: Pimalai is based on the south west coast of Koh Lanta Yai, which is part of Krabi province, and faces the Andaman Sea, decorated with white-sand beaches and providing guests with startlingly picturesque sunsets.

History: Koh Lanta has reinvented itself from what was in the mid-80s, a backpacker destination, to a luxury retreat. The island still boasts a community of Sea Gypsies, who have lived there harmoniously for hundreds of years.

Service: The Pimalai has won a vast array of awards that attest to the top-of-the-range services guests can expect at this luxury hotel.

The Pimalai provides guests with a host of activities, with two stunning infinity pools, an award-winning spa, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and two tennis courts.

The Pimalai's 115-foot-long infinity pool features jacuzzi jets, and is surrounded by plush sun loungers for guests' ultimate comfort. Poolside refreshments are available. The Pimalai also features a second pool, this one 164-feet above sea level, with that much-desired infinity edge and incredible panoramas of the bay below.

The Pimalai's natural spa, built in a traditional village style, effortlessly blends into the natural jungle surroundings. Locally-sourced materials have been incorporated into the spa's design. The spa comes highly-recommended, having won awards for its fantastic treatments, which range from royal Thai massages, to oriental fusion treatments.

Pimalai has an impressive array of flavorful restaurants to choose from. From traditional Thai dishes to the freshest seafoods Thailand has to offer, guests can enjoy the rich, fresh flavors while taking in the picturesque tropical surroundings.
