Remote Lands, Inc. Welcomes Wendy Clayton as Vice President of Sales
New York: March 1, 2010. Remote Lands, Inc., the New York and Bangkok-based ultra-luxury Asia private tour operator, recently added Wendy Clayton as Vice President of Sales in its New York office. In this newly created position, Clayton will head Remote Lands’ sales efforts, working directly with the travel community throughout the U.S.A., Canada, Latin America, Australia, and New Zealand.
Clayton comes to Remote Lands from Virtuoso, Ltd.’s New York office, where as Director of Member Sales and Service she managed more than 60 member accounts specializing in luxury and adventure travel, developed new agency members for the Virtuoso network, escorted Virtuoso international educational trips, hosted open house, supplier and career events, and more.

Prior to her time at Virtuoso, she was the Director of Sales Development for North America for Discovery World Cruises. She has also worked for Silversea Cruises and Orient Lines, where as Regional Director of Sales she was recognized as Salesperson of the Year. Her more than 20 years in the industry also include travel agency management experience and sales for Air New Zealand and Brendan Tours. Clayton has traveled in Borneo, Vietnam, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Japan, in addition to many other exotic destinations throughout the world.
