After graduating from the University of California at Berkeley, Audrey relocated to Hong Kong, a move that launched her journalism career and afforded her ample travel opportunities. As a writer, Audrey has been published in The Los Angeles Times, Time Europe, Time Asia, South China Morning Post, ArtAsiaPacific, Dynasty, Silkroad and Cover. She has also been a reviews editor at ArtAsiaPacific and an assistant editor at Nihao magazine.
After working with two of the largest travel outfitters in Southeast Asia, Piyamat is an expert on travel in the region. She got her start in the travel industry at IBN Group (Thaifly.com), then moved on to work with Exotissimo, a large firm based in Saigon that was the first foreign company to be granted a tourism-operating license in Vietnam. As a travel consultant at Exotissimo, Piyamat honed her skills designing custom journeys.
Kristin spent four years as an assistant editor at Condé Nast Traveler, where she helped to plan features on destinations worldwide. She went on to publish daily insights on the travel industry as the blogger for Travelistic.com, a travel-video portal. Her work has also appeared in Condé Nast Traveler, Print and I.D. Kristin is a graduate of the University of Chicago, has lived in France and Hong Kong, and traveled throughout Europe and Asia.
Ian comes to Remote Lands by way of the UK where he studied for his ACCA certificate at Newport Business School. Ian was previously on staff as an accountant / bookkeeper with HV Consulting. Prior to moving to New York, Ian worked for three years as an accountant / bookkeeper with WynThomasGordonLewis Limited, a privately owned town planning and design consultancy based in the UK.
