Fully responsible for and accountable to assigned clients – the Account Manager will oversee the full cycle of trip planning and see it through to completion and client follow up.
Designing and creating detailed, creative and accurate travel itineraries and related documents for Remote Lands’ clients. This may entail research of new destinations and new activities and writing new text.
Professional and timely communication with clients and travel agents by phone, email and in person
Use initiative to actively support and assist across all aspects of Remote Lands operations to ensure the smooth and efficient care of all client and company needs, including actively supporting and assisting team members as needed.
Create, maintain and update highly detailed spreadsheets of travel and client account information including activity sheets
Coordinating with Remote Lands’ operations staff in Asia to plan and execute all aspects of client trips. Teamwork and communication is essential.
Timely and professional answering of incoming telephone calls, and taking accurate messages as required. No call should need to ring more than 3 times before being answered.
Accurate and timely invoicing and collection of clients’ payments
Maintain and update internal databases, include destination activities and itinerary copy.
Writing original copy for client itineraries in Remote Lands’ style
Researching special interests for client itineraries. (culture, food, family activities, art, architecture, gardens, historic attractions, etc.)
Proficiency in the use of company software and programs, including In- Design, Excel, 5PM Project Management System and CMS.
Using initiative to develop new experiences, destinations, and partnerships
Assisting with administrative projects and activities as needed
Contributing to Remote Lands’ blog
Attending travel industry events and occasionally travelling to Asia as a professional representative of Remote Lands
Maintains a respectful and clean work environment, including but not limited to personal workspace, shared space and kitchen area.
