The glorious, complex architecture and sacred woodland location of this newly constructed haven is certain to amaze and entice your senses. Enjoy a selection of delicious cocktails as you are welcomed, and settle in for an evening of serenity.

DAY 2: Shanghai, China - 13 October

On your second morning, after enjoying an energizing breakfast, you will spend the day on a guided adventure of Shanghai. Choose whether to join the group on the Bund morning walking tour - exploring the ancient and awe-inspiring architecture of this magnificent city - or head out separately with your private guide. Stroll along the French Concession streets, where little disrupts the pre-World War II layout, and immerse yourself in the beauty of Yu Gardens - the most celebrated classical Chinese gardens in the city. For the art-lover, no trip to Shanghai should be complete without a visit to M50, and with it the chance to see Chinese contemporary art at its best. Afterwards, return to Aman to relax in the opulent surroundings with drinks and an expertly prepared farewell dinner.

DAY 3: Lijiang, China - 14 October

After an early morning private hike or bicycle around the village, be whisked to the airport for your private flight to Lijiang. Spend four hours soaring over the beautiful peaks and valleys of the Chinese landscape, and savor an exquisite gourmet champagne lunch in the sky as you take in the stunning views from above. After landing you will transfer to Amandayan with time to freshen up before cocktails and dinner.

DAY 4: Lijiang, China - 15 October

Explore the ancient town of Lijiang with its endless narrow windy cobblestone streets lined with charming shops and pretty inns and fun cafes and bars. Drive outside town to Baisha Village, one of the oldest towns in the area, filled with traditional Chinese culture and visit a herbal doctor and an embroidery workshop. Take a scenic drive to Jade Dragon mountain range for the perfect vantage point from which to observe the snow capped peaks while watching a magnificent outdoor classic Chinese extravaganza with hundreds of performers riding horses, dancing, singing and parading around. Finally, explore a sacred and rarely-explored golden temple before refreshing yourself back at the hotel, ready for dinner and a traditional performance of Peking Opera.

DAY 5: Thimphu, Bhutan - 16 October

This morning bid farewell to China and climb aboard your Airbus ACJ 318 once more, bound for the kingdom of Bhutan. Enjoy lunch on your jet as you soar over mountains and valleys before touching down in Paro. You will be met and transferred directly to beautiful Amankora, your luxurious residence in capital city Thimphu. After a cocktail reception and a local art presentation, relax, refresh and explore the resort before a dinner of Bhutanese cuisine, prepared with the freshest local produce in the Amankora's dining room.

DAY 6: Thimphu, Bhutan - 17 October

Choose from an enticing range of activities today. Spend a leisurely morning browsing Thimphu's central market for Bhutanese handicrafts or visit a local astrology school or a Buddhist monastery to get a sense of the importance of spirituality in this region. Pay your respects at the memorial of Bhutan's third king, explore the country's seat of government or take the opportunity to see the takin - the national animal in a wildlife preserve. After a fascinating day, relax over drinks and another sumptuous dinner.

DAY 7: Paro, Bhutan - 18 October

Spend the morning as you please, taking in the other sights and museums of Thimphu before setting off on a comfortable, scenic drive to Paro, home to many of Bhutan's most treasured historic sites. Check in at Amankora Paro and enjoy a refreshing welcome cocktail. Spend the afternoon discovering Bhutanese treasures. Visit fortresses including Drukgyel Dzong and The Paro Dzong complex, also known as the fortress of the heap of jewels, inside which are temples attended by monks, a wood carved central tower and the district's seat of government. Retire to Amankora Paro later for dinner in the Dining Room, with a view of a mountain stream.

DAY 8: Paro, Bhutan - 19 October

Rise early this morning ready for your trek to the legendary Tiger's Nest, an iconic temple, hugging the cliff face. Tradition has it that Guru Rimpoche flew to Bhutan on a tigress and meditated in the caves here before bringing Buddhism to the people. The hike is challenging and the incline steep, but the view from the halfway point where you will stop to take tea and the achievement of reaching the temple is well worth it. Spend the afternoon at your leisure, exploring Paro or indulging in a traditional treatment in the spa before your final dinner at Amankora.

DAY 9: Alwar, India - 20 October

Transfer to the airport for your private jet flight to Jaipur. Start your Indian adventure discovering the city's most important monuments including the Amber Fort and the Palace of the Winds, and explore city's incredibly colorful bazaars. As dusk falls, transfer to Amanbagh in Alwar, where you'll be greeted with cocktails and local art. In the evening, enjoy dinner at one of the resort's three spectacular restaurants.

DAY 10: Alwar, India - 21 October

This morning, head to the fascinating ancient city of Bhangarh, where your expert guide will tell you about its legendary history and you will have the chance to join a yoga session on the stone pavilion of the ruins. In the afternoon, hop aboard a jeep for an exhilarating Cowdust Tour through the rural villages surrounding Amanbagh while the farmers lead their cattle home from the fields. Along the way, you'll meet and share a cup of chai with some friendly locals. After your Fire Meditation ceremony, enjoy a farewell dinner at Amanbagh.

On arrival, head out on a camel safari for a taste of the wildlife surrounding you and a magnificent sunset view over Ranthambore. If dusk has already fallen, take the time to relax and enjoy welcome cocktails around the campfire before dinner and live traditional music around the resort's pool.

DAY 12: Ranthambhore, India - 23 October

It's an early start today with breakfast royal Mughal-style in the tented dining room before you embark on a tiger safari in Ranthambore National Park. You'll also have the chance to observe deer, antelope, gazelle and crocodiles in their natural habitat, as well as the exotic birds who call the canopy home. After your afternoon guided safari of choice, return to Aman-i-Khas for a very special bush dinner experience with live cooking and cultural performances.

DAY 13: Galle, Sri Lanka - 24 October

Say goodbye to Aman-i-Khas and Ranthambore and transfer to the airport for your private jet flight to Sri Lanka with lunch served on board. From capital city Colombo, enjoy the journey in your private chauffered car to the historic port of Galle. Here, at the impressive Amangalla you'll be welcomed with cocktails and given time to refresh and relax before dinner amid the intimate period decor of the Amangalla Dining Room.

DAY 14: Galle, Sri Lanka - 25 October

Today, rise at your leisure and join your personal butler for a walking tour of Galle's historic fort. Established by Portuguese settlers over 600 years ago and expanded by the Dutch in the mid-17th century, it is still home to government offices and residents today. After your walk, retire to The Baths, Amangalla's opulently-appointed spa, for a relaxing 90-minute treatment; choose from massages, scrubs, beauty therapies and traditional ayurvedic remedies. In the evening, head to Amangalla's own rice paddy for a farewell roti dinner.

DAY 15: Tangalle, Sri Lanka - 26 October

Take one more tour of the city, to make the most of Galle's colonial charms, from the national and archeological museums to the gem markets. After lunch, enjoy the short drive along the southern coast to Tangalle, where you will check into the stunning Geoffrey Bawa-designed beachfront Amanwella resort. You will be welcomed with poolside cocktails and canapes and have the rest of the day free to relax on the white sands or by the pool. In the evening, enjoy dinner at Amanwella's Dining Room.

DAY 16: Tangalle, Sri Lanka - 27 October

Today is the last full day of your holiday, so start with an invigorating yoga session, and then the choice is yours - either laze the day away on the beach, or enjoy a few leisurely activities. Take a morning or evening nature walk through the jungle trails near Amanwella, where you might see monkeys, monitor lizards, hares, mongoose and exotic birds. Or head early into town to explore Tangalle's bustling market, where farmers and fishermen come to sell their produce. In the evening, round off a truly memorable journey with a beach barbecue at Amanwella, with fire dancing and live traditional music.
