FROM ASIA TO AFRICA: INTRODUCING THE GREATEST SAFARI ON EARTH

AUGUST 25 — SEPTEMBER 6, 2026

At Remote Lands, we are often asked about our nearest equivalents in other parts of the world. For Africa, we always immediately recommend our friends at ROAR AFRICA, the ultra-luxe Africa specialist that designs life-changing experiences while creating a positive impact on the people and places of the continent.

As such, we are pleased to share details of The Greatest Safari on Earth, a rare opportunity to explore Africa in unparalleled comfort on board the Emirates Executive Private jet, the only one of its kind in the world.

Limited to just 10 guests, this 12-day journey takes place from August 25 – September 6, 2026, visiting four iconic destinations at their peak moment of the year: Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, the Okavango Delta in Botswana, the Masai Mara in Kenya and the mountain gorillas of Rwanda. All travel time, aside from exhilarating helicopter flights, serene mokoro rides and spectacular, wildlife-packed game drives, takes place in the unbridled comfort of the ultimate magic carpet, the Emirates Executive Private Jet.

The journey begins in Dubai aboard the custom-designed Emirates A319 Executive Private Jet, a marvel of luxury aviation. The aircraft features 10 private suites, each offering ‘beyond first class’ comfort and privacy, and exceptional service from world-class cabin crew. Spa-like bathrooms, gourmet dining, caviar and a global wine list complemented by free-flowing Dom Pérignon complete the experience and offer an entirely new echelon of exclusivity.

THE SMOKE THAT THUNDERS

Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

The first stop is Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, a dramatic introduction to the journey ahead. It is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, where the Zambezi River plunges more than 350 feet into the gorge below creating a mist-shrouded spectacle known as “The Smoke that Thunders.” An exhilarating Bond-style helicopter flight reveals the full scale of the falls before guests touch down at Matetsi River Lodge, set within a 136,000-acre private reserve on the banks of the Zambezi. Days here are active and immersive, with safaris by boat and 4x4 introducing guests to a full spectrum of wildlife including elephants, lions, myriad bird species, and even leopards. From your river-facing suite, wake up to herds of playful elephants swimming and splashing along the riverbanks in the early morning sun.

AFRICA'S LIQUID WILDERNESS

Helicopter ride over the Okavango Delta, Botswana

Next is the Okavango Delta in Botswana, the world's largest inland delta, where seasonal floodwaters turn dry plains into a shimmering maze of lagoons, channels, and islands. The 10,563 miles of floodplain is among Africa’s richest ecosystems; a haven to many of the world’s most endangered species. The pace slows here, shaped by the rhythms of the water and the movement of animals through papyrus-lined channels and open savannah, best explored by mokoro (dugout canoe) and doors-off helicopter rides that offer a bird’s-eye view of wildlife corridors and elephant paths etched into the land. Home here is Xigera Safari Lodge, a striking property designed with both environmental sensitivity and a deep connection to Africa's craft heritage—pieces by over 70 of the continent’s most celebrated artists, artisans, and master craftspeople are displayed throughout the lodge.

HEART OF THE GREAT MIGRATION

The Great Wildebeest Migration, Kenya

The journey continues to Kenya’s Masai Mara to experience one of Africa's most humbling spectacles, the Great Migration. This epic movement of more than two million wildebeest, zebras and antelope crossing hundreds of miles of savannah, and braving river crossings in search of greener grazing is one of nature's greatest show stopping events. The setting for this leg of the journey is Angama Mara, a design-forward lodge perched high above the plains of the Mara Triangle, an iconic region teeming with lions, leopards, giraffes, black rhinos, and cheetahs, to name a few. The views are sublime and sunrise hot air balloon rides provide sweeping bird’s eye panoramas of the migration below.

AMONG THE MOUNTAIN GORILLAS

Baby Gorilla, Rwanda

The final chapter unfolds in Rwanda at Volcanoes National Park, a mist-laced sanctuary surrounded by cloud forest and mountain ridges. The park is home to the last remaining mountain gorillas and, guided by experienced trackers, guests hike through bamboo and rainforest to observe the gorilla families up close. The time spent in their natural habitat provides a moment of humility and peace that leaves an indelible mark on all who experience it. Between treks spend quiet downtime at Singita Kwitonda, a stunning property that is designed with respect to its remarkable location. Each of the suites features a private heated plunge pool, wellness treatment area, and large windows that feature showstopping volcano views a space that encourages reflection on an experience rich in nature, connection and perspective.

The Greatest Safari on Earth by ROAR AFRICA is $195,000 per person (based on double occupancy) and is limited to just ten participants. For more details, visit www.roarafrica.com.
