HIKING & HELICOPTERS IN NEPAL: THE SECRET PATH TO EVEREST
A tactical helicopter transferFor those seeking a more rugged adventure, Remote Lands offers an exhilarating expedition through the hidden paths of Nepal with the "Hiking & Helicopters: The Secret Path to Everest" trek. This exclusive 16-day, 15-night journey, launching in May 2025 starts in the capital Kathmandu, where guests will stay at the charming Dwarika's Hotel. From there, the adventure continues deep into the heart of the Himalayas, offering an immersive lodge-to-lodge trekking experience. Guests will stay at the finest lodges managed by Mountain Lodges of Nepal, ensuring maximum comfort amidst Nepal's breathtaking landscapes. Nepal is blessed with numerous spectacular regions. But none come more fabled than the Everest region. Home to the world’s highest peak, the area is famed for its incredible hiking and trekking. And the new Remote Lands program showcases the area in its most appealing light. The trek will explore iconic and hidden routes to Everest Base Camp (EBC), including stops in Phakding, Monjo, Namche, Deboche, and Kongde, before culminating in a private tented camp at Everest Base Camp. The trek is timed for the end of the trekking season, ensuring a private experience at EBC. Unlike traditional treks, this experience offers shorter hiking days, allowing guests to soak in the stunning scenery and rich cultural heritage of the Himalayas at their own pace. The trip is led by legendary mountaineer Jamling Tenzing Norgay and uses multiple helicopter journeys to skip busier sections of the trail, while opening up more remote areas.
