Discover Southeast Asia is an in-depth two-week cultural journey through the heart of a compelling and diverse region, taking in ancient civilizations, UNESCO-listed old towns, dramatic coastlines and metropolitan areas. Breaking new ground on Aman Jet Expeditions, guests will stay at the highly-anticipated Aman Nai Lert in the exuberant Thailand capital of Bangkok.
Our jet is a luxurious custom-outfitted Airbus ACJ 319, modified to feature 19 seats instead of the standard 130, and is one of the finest ultra-long-range private aircraft available. The interior is configured in a spacious lounge design—there are two large cabins—creating a relaxed, comfortable, and social atmosphere that is quite unlike commercial jets.
Each journey accommodates a maximum of 16-18 guests, ensuring ample space and an exceptionally comfortable in-flight experience, where you want to relax with a book or enjoy a cocktail with new friends. The pace of Luang Prabang is seductively slow. Observe the ebb and flow of the Mekong, and see flashes of saffron as the Buddhist monks tread softly between temples in Laos’s spiritual capital. Rise early in the charming town of Luang Prabang to take part in the tradition of offering alms to monks, known as Tak Bat. You’ll participate in greeting a procession of saffron-robed monks as they make their way to homes and shops to receive their daily rice, an event of great importance and symbolism for Lao Buddhists.
Board a small, comfortable boat for a two-hour voyage up the Mekong river to the sacred Pak Ou Caves, famed for housing more than 10,000 statues of the Buddha in a huge cavern overlooking the Mekong. Meet the people behind an ethical refuge for elephants in Laos. In this remote jungle camp on the banks of the Nam Khan river, you’ll learn about elephant behavior and the way they communicate with humans, while in an unforced and natural way, with many of these charming animals.

Arrive in Cambodia in the early afternoon following a short private jet transfer from Luang Prabang. Stop on an island to spend time on the beach and swim.
