This 10-day annual festival in India’s northeastern region of Nagaland brings together a wide variety of local tribes, who perform their traditional dances and folk songs for all to see, wearing traditional dress. Held at Naga Heritage Village, constructed for the event, there are also fun competitions, a large market, and more.
Kyaik-Hti-Yo Pagoda spire sits on top of an enormous rock, covered in gold leaf, perched on a cliff edge. It is customary for pilgrims from all over the country to join the ceremony in which 9,000 lamps are lit around the rock to celebrate the New Year and to offer thanks to Buddha for his peaceful philosophy and wisdom.
Since 2007, the Johnnie Walker Cambodian Open has been attracting golfers from around the world. The event is staged at the Phokeethra Country Club, just 15 miles from Siem Reap. Many golfers and spectators take advantage of the great location and head to nearby Angkor – when they’re not due on the golf course that is!
You are invited to Remote Lands’ signature Aman Jet Expeditions, in partnership with our friends at Aman. These are small group journeys designed for people who usually travel independently.

See ItineraryHere is a small selection of the kind words our clients have said about us recently.
We are intrepid travelers who love to get off the beaten track to explore. Remote Lands did a great job of arranging our trip to some of the less trodden parts of Indonesia.
It wasn't our first trip with Remote Lands but again they proved they are the best! Everything ran smoothly from start to finish.
