Anantara Al Jabal Akhdar

In Oman’s northwest lies Green Mountain, and here, upon Saiq Plateau, sits Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar. More than 6500 feet above sea level, it is the Middle East’s highest five-star resort and, perched on the rim of a vast plunging canyon, the views from every vantage point are stunning. The Anantara is a chic luxury retreat perched atop a high mountain ridge overlooking the confluence of the Mekong and Ruak rivers, and close to Thailand's borders with Laos and Myanmar. It has 58 guest rooms and 19 suites decorated in a style that blends the best of the area's rich fabric and woodcarving traditions with contemporary design.
