The Grandest Tour returns in 2025 offering guests six Aman sanctuaries across seven different countries, in just one journey by private jet. Over three weeks, journey from ultra-modern Tokyo through the vast continent of Asia to the ruins of the Classical Era in Greece. Guests will enjoy a special touch down at the iconic TaJ Mahal, and — in a change from 2024's program — spend two nights in the ancient silk road city of Samarkand in Uzbekistan.

Our jet is a luxurious custom-outfitted Airbus ACJ 319 (or similar), modified to feature 19 seats instead of the standard 130, and is one of the finest ultra-long-range private aircraft available. The interior is configured in a spacious lounge design—there are two large cabins—creating a relaxed, comfortable, and social atmosphere that is quite unlike commercial jets.

DESIGNED FOR PEOPLE WHO DON'T DO GROUP TRAVEL

Each journey accommodates a maximum of 16-18 guests, ensuring ample space and an exceptionally comfortable in-flight experience, where you want to relax with a book or enjoy a cocktail with new friends. So, while expeditions involve a fun social group atmosphere, they retain the benefits of private travel. With this hybrid model, we describe the Aman Jet Expeditions as being designed for people who do not usually do group travel.

  • Fitted with 19 seats
  • Two pilots, two flight attendants, one chef & one engineer
  • Two lounges
  • Three restrooms

Aman-Tokyo.jpg

An urban sanctuary atop the shimmering Otemachi Tower, Aman Tokyo is a monument to the modern-day Japanese capital, a place where dynamism is tempered with serenity. History, commerce and culture fuse truly cosmopolitan yet intrinsically Japanese aesthetics, offering fascinating juxtapositions at every turn.

Amanoi.jpg

Perched over Vinh Hy Bay, this secluded retreat inspires both adventure and serenity. There is much to explore within the bounds of Nui Chua National Park: the private beach and colorful coral reefs, and the protected wilderness hugging 20 miles of coastline. Equally powerful paths of discovery are uncovered in the healing philosophy of the Aman Spa, and in pioneering Wellness Villas that offer total immersion in this exceptionally beautiful setting.

Amanpuri,-Phuket.jpg

Scattered with coconut palms overlooking the Andaman Sea, the Amanpuri peninsula on Phuket’s west coast provides a peaceful enclave in which to relax and rejuvenate in complete privacy. The iconic flagship resort features Ayutthayuan-style upturned roofs of the guest pavilions sheltering sleek, spacious interiors, which have all received a meticulous reconfiguration, enhancing their Thai design heritage.

Amangalla-Sri-Lanka.jpg

Amangalla sits within the ramparts of the historic 17th century Galle Fort, a setting blessed with a rich legacy and narrow streets lined with buildings from the Dutch and British colonial eras. Offering views of 200-year-old gardens and the fort and harbor beyond, Amangalla presents stately high-ceilinged suites evocative of another epoch.

Aman-i-khas-India.jpg

Open from October to May each year, the best season for wildlife spotting, Aman-i-Khás is a wilderness camp located in a brushwood forest on the fringes of Ranthambore National Park. Its name combining the Sanskrit word for ‘peace’, aman, with the Hindi word for ‘special’, khás, Aman-i-Khás offers accommodation in ten air-conditioned tents with soaring canopies draped in the Moghul style.

Guests may choose between this property and Amanbagh.

Amanbagh-India.jpg

Amanbagh is a verdant oasis of mature palm, fruit and eucalyptus trees lying within a walled compound once the staging area for royal hunts. Evoking the palatial elegance of the Mughal era, Amanbagh provides a tranquil base from which to explore the rich heritage of Rajasthan, India’s dramatic frontier region. The topography of the surrounding Alwar region consists of sandy plains interspersed with craggy hills, a stark contrast to Amanbagh’s verdant setting.

Guests may choose between this property and Aman-I-Khás.

Amanzoe,-Greece.jpg

Amanzoe

Designed by renowned architect, the late Ed Tuttle, Amanzoe is situated on a hilltop close to the town of Porto Heli on the eastern coast of the  Peloponnese peninsula. Set on a gentle rise surrounded by undulating olive groves, Amanzoe’s 360-degree views take in idyllic Peloponnese countryside, beaches dotted with rocky coves, and the glittering Aegean Sea.

Sumo.jpg

Giants of the Dohyō

Meet with retired sumo wrestlers to learn more about the ancient artform. Sumo is a serious sport that combines weight, speed, intellect, technique and guile, and many ritual elements such as purifying the ring with salt. In this informational session, you will be free to ask questions and, if you wish, you can also don a ‘sumo suit’ and try your hand at the sport.

This trip is very interesting because you're traveling with a group of people, but you're also traveling with yourself and your spouse or your significant other. So you have an ability to be together as a group and also to do things with your significant other. I thought that was a fantastic way to run this trip.

I'd say it has met or exceeded all my expectations. Everything is as beautiful as I expected it would be, but there was a lot more maneuverability on the ground as far as spontaneity.

The highlight of the trip was not needing to plan anything. It feels so freeing to just be able to get on a flight, not have to do any work for the trip, and have a far beyond amazing experience that's not so touristy and more localized. Another thing I loved was that we had a driver and a tour guide everywhere we go.
