Designed by the architect firm Kengo Kuma and Associates, Capella Hotels and Resorts debuted in Japan’s historical city in 2026. The Capella Kyoto is a 4-story hotel located in the Miyagawa-chō district, an important geisha and maiko (apprentice geisha) neighborhood, adjacent to the Kennin-ji Temple and nearby Nishiki Market and the Yasaka Shrine.
