Luxury hotel group Aman has announced its plans to open three properties in Saudi Arabia in 2023. There will be a tented camp and two resorts, all in the Al Ula region, granting guests sublime access to this extraordinary area and its UNESCO Heritage Site.

Aman at Summer Palace, which opened in fall 2008, is located just outside the east gate of the palace, and meticulously designed to harmonize with the graceful architecture of the former retreat of China's emperors. A series of century-old guesthouses, built for guests awaiting an audience with Empress Dowager Cixi, have been transformed into a hotel with 18 rooms and 25 suites. With their trademark sensitivity to historic properties, Aman has decorated the interiors with period furniture and rich fabrics that evoke the grandeur of the palace itself. There are three restaurants: The Grill; The Chinese Restaurant, which has an elegant Ming Dynasty interior; and Naoki, helmed by chef Naoki Okamura and specializing in his trademark "French Kaiseki", which combines the best of French haute cuisine with Japanese artistry. Other amenities include a bar, a library, and the Aman Club — a spa and fitness-center complex including a large pool, located underground to preserve the harmonious aesthetic of the architecture. The Aman is a 45-minute drive from central Beijing and a 45-minute drive from Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK).

The highly anticipated Aman Kyoto brings an even higher level of luxury to the historic and cultural ancient capital. A blend of authentic, traditional ryokan hospitality and contemporary spaces, the Aman Kyoto offers travelers a respite in the heart of one of Japan's most visited cities. The secluded 80-acre property is situated in a hidden garden close to the Golden Pavilion at the foot of the Mountain of Hidari Daimonji, within easy reach of Kyoto's impressive collection of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Scattered among the grounds is a series of standalone pavilions. The four guest pavilions house 24 guest rooms (choose between garden or stream views) and a pair of two-bedroom villas overlooking the forest canopy. Each room captures a contemporary, minimalistic style with nod to the quintessential ryokan feel; walls of windows bringing the outside in to spacious, light-filled interiors. Facilities include separate Arrival, Living and Spa pavilions. The signature restaurant, Taka-An, showcases Japanese haute cuisine in the form of the kaiseki banquet - a multi-course dining experience made using the season’s finest local produce. The Living Pavilion offers an inviting spaces with a central fireplace for guests to enjoy home-cooked Kyoto obanzai-style cuisine and afternoon tea. The Spa Pavilion’s onsen bathing facilities use water from a local spring and the range of treatments highlight local, natural ingredients such as green tea, black beans, sake and cold-pressed camellia oil.

Since its opening at the end of 2014, Aman Tokyo has been one of the most talked-about luxury hotels in the city. The most striking thing about it is its location; spread across the top six floors of a 40-storey tower in the Otemachi business district, the panoramic views are simply incredible. What’s more, all of the 84 rooms and suites take full advantage of the lofty position with floor-to-ceiling windows letting light in during the daytime, while also framing the breathtaking lit-up cityscape at night. Aman Tokyo has also received praise for its impressive interiors, which have been inspired by minimalistic design, including the use of camphor wood, washi paper and stone surfaces throughout the rooms as well as traditional Japanese facilities such as large ‘furo’ baths. Situated on the 33rd floor, both guests and non-guests can enjoy the fine Mediterranean food at the hotel’s signature restaurant, not forgetting more of those incredible views across Tokyo stretching as far as the Imperial Palace Gardens and Mount Fuji in the distance. With just 10 luxury tents dotted around a lake, Aman-i-Khás is one of the most exclusive properties in the world. Located near the famed Ranthambore National Park, Aman-i- Khás offers supreme comfort in this rugged area with its dining tent, spa tent with four treatment beds total, lounge tent, a step-well, a traditional shallow wading pool, and wireless Internet access. Each tent has a central living room area, which opens on to three other areas for sleeping, bathing and dressing. The “bedroom” has a king-size bed and two writing desks, while the bathing area includes a shower, soaking tub and separate toilet while the dressing area contains wardrobes and twin vanities. There is a lovely campfire that is lit every evening and surrounded by stone benches with pillows such that guests can socialize with one another and chat about any game sightings over drinks and live music.

The sumptuous Amanbagh hotel is located in the remote Alwar region of Rajasthan on one of the sites used long ago by the Maharajah of Alwar for his mobile tiger hunting camps. With 32 rooms and suites, Amanbagh, which translates as "peaceful garden" is designed as a contemporary interpretation of the great palaces built during India's golden age of architecture. The Restaurant serves a deluxe version of the region's home-style cooking as well as western specialties in a refined atmosphere including indoor and outdoor seating areas. Additionally, there is a courtyard for more casual dining near the pool area. The Bar and Lounge is an intimate place to relax and unwind during the afternoon and into the evening. An ongoing series of lectures on regional art and architecture, history, and philosophy is offered to guests in the hotel's library. Amanbagh has a comprehensive spa program specializing in Ayurvedic treatments as well as a devoted area for the practice and instruction of yoga.

Amandari welcomes you to stay in central Bali at its 30-suite luxury property designed to resemble a traditional Balinese-style village with coconut wood posts, Javanese marble and volcanic stone. The suites come with a private garden, courtyard and outdoor sunken marble bath. The open-air restaurant serves Indonesian and Western cuisine with views of the lush gorge. The Aman Group’s 28th resort in their ever-expanding portfolio of luxurious accommodation just happens to be one of their most impressive to date, spread over a hectare of land on a hill perched above the Old City of Lijiang - a World Heritage Site. The quaint winding lanes of the town below are an image of classic China, and the breathtaking luscious green mountains and snow-capped peaks provide the perfect backdrop. The hotel itself is relatively small; with only 35 suites the resort is kept quiet and peaceful, just like the surrounding countryside and historic town below. Amandira is a custom-built, 170-foot (52-meter) two-masted Phinisi sailing vessel. The Amandira offers five spacious cabins and can travel under sail as well as motor. Two cabins are fitted with a king-size bed, while the third offers a queen-size bed or twin beds. Two cabins have double bunk beds. Each cabin features a living area with sofa, coffee table and writing desk, as well as a spacious bathroom with shower and twin vanities.
