The journey now reaches its conclusion in India, where guests can marvel at the breathtaking white-marbled Taj Mahal and explore more of the country’s history and culture as an add-on. Our jet is a luxurious custom-outfitted Airbus ACJ 319 (or similar), modified to feature 19 seats instead of the standard 130, and is one of the finest ultra-long-range private aircraft available. The interior is configured in a spacious lounge design—there are two large cabins—creating a relaxed, comfortable, and social atmosphere that is quite unlike commercial jets.
Each journey accommodates a maximum of 16-18 guests, ensuring ample space and an exceptionally comfortable in-flight experience, where you want to relax with a book or enjoy a cocktail with new friends. An urban sanctuary atop the shimmering Otemachi Tower, Aman Tokyo is a monument to the modern-day Japanese capital, a place where dynamism is tempered with serenity. Once a residence for guests of the king, Amansara is a masterpiece of 1960s New Khmer architecture – an unabashedly modern style. A careful and sensitive restoration brought the building back to its former glory, retaining the original single-level layout, curvilinear pool and monochrome minimalism. Gardens and a canopy of mature trees create an introspective atmosphere, continued in the Suites, which open onto private courtyards and ponds.

Join a Japanese blademaster for an interactive lesson in swordsmanship. Japan’s ancient samurai swords were once employed during battle, and their use is today considered an artform. During your sword lesson you will practice movements evolved from the techniques used by samurai in battle.
Master the art of sushi making under the expert guidance of a fifth-generation sushi chef. Learn how to prepare sushi’s basic rice with rice vinegar, slice various fish and vegetable ingredients, and roll, cut and display the pieces, before enjoying your own (as well as your professional instructor’s) creations for lunch.
Witness the vast and enduring temples of Angkor from the perspective of a bird on a thrilling private helicopter tour in Siem Reap. Experience Yunnan’s most storied walk at Tiger Leaping Gorge. Follow a high trail above the Jinsha River as it cuts between Jade Dragon and Haba snow peaks. Switchbacks, farm hamlets, and cliffside viewpoints give a true sense of Yunnan’s scale — walk a full section or keep it to shorter lookouts.
Rise early for a moderately difficult half-day hike to the resplendent cliffside Tiger’s Nest monastery. Tiger’s Nest, or Taktshang Goempa, is one of Bhutan’s most revered monuments. It hangs off the face of a cliff nearly 3,000 feet above the valley floor. The legend states that Guru Rinpoche flew into Bhutan on a mythical tigress and meditated in a cave before bringing Buddhism to Bhutan.
Jet into the city of Agra for a specially-arranged touchdown at the iconic Taj Mahal, on your way to Uzbekistan. An immense 17th-century Murghal marble monument, the Taj Mahal remains one of the world’s great archeological masterpieces of form and function, which every visitor to India should try to see at least once.
Take part in fire meditation, the most pure of the five elements. Participants sit around a fire called a hawan, made up of herbs and fragrant wood from the Himalayas. The session consists of chanting the Gayetri mantra, a powerful mantra in Hindu, intended to energize all of the body’s 24 chakras, or centers of spiritual power. Only available to guests who choose to stay at Amanbagh.
Roll out before first light for a 4WD game drive through Aravalli grassland, dry forest, and cliffs. Sightings in Sariska National Park can include tiger, leopard, crocodile, antelope, langur, and macaque, with medieval temples and Kankwari Fort punctuating the landscape.
Arrive in Japan’s futuristic capital and settle into the Aman Tokyo in Otemachi. In the morning, experience the world of Angkor on a private helicopter ride over the massive temple complex. You will have a stunning bird's-eye view of Angkor Wat, western and eastern Barays, Prasat Kravan, Sras Srong and more. Following your descent, continue on to APOPO, a Belgian non-profit that utilizes rats to clear landmines, and then to Angkor National Museum, Old Market, and Wat Bo Pagoda. Touchdown by private jet to the kingdom of Bhutan and check in to Amankora Paro. Embrace the country’s rich cultural heritage with private visits to the majestic Paro Dzong, the sacred Kyichu Lhakhang, and the National Museum of Bhutan, before enjoying an astrology reading with a local monastery representative.
Resume your journey with a stroll through the capital of Thimphu, where the National Library of Thimphu, the National Textile Museum, Memorial Chorten, and the Motithang Takin Preserve await. Alternatively, for guests interested in hiking, trek for a half-day to the Hidden Monk Village of Dodedrak, established around a mysterious 12th century temple, and Cheri Monastery, home to Bhutan’s first community of monks. Return for the night to your retreat and receive a long-life blessing ceremony conducted by a tulku.
The next day, set out on an iconic hike to the cliffside Tiger’s Nest Monastery, Bhutan’s most sacred landmark. It hangs marvelously on the face of a cliff, 2,952 feet above the valley floor. Complete your stay with panoramic views from Chele La Pass or a visit to the Wangsel Institute for the Deaf, before gathering for a special tented dinner in the forest paired with a cultural dance performance.
Arrive in India by private jet and spend the afternoon exploring Jaipur with your private car, driver, and guide. Gain rare access to Jaipur’s royal heritage at the City Palace before continuing on to landmarks such as the Hawa Mahal and the City Palace Museum. Familiarize yourself with Jaipur’s vibrant bazaars and emerging markets, before moving on to Amber Fort, a majestic UNESCO-listed site located on the rugged Aravali Hills. Check into Amanbagh once you've had your fill for the day.
Your next day suggested experiences include: a trip to the intriguing old ruined city of Bhangarh and the ancient Neelkanth Temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Resume with a Cowdust Tour by open jeep to villages near Amanbagh, where local neighbors can be seen herding their goats, cows, and buffaloes.
The following day, venture into Sariska National Park in search of tigers, leopards, and other native species, or explore the remote village of Ajabgarh before an optional fire meditation.
Fly by private jet to Agra to visit the white-marbled Taj Mahal and, time permitting, the historic Agra Fort, before continuing to New Delhi for the final stage of your journey. Upon your arrival, check into The Leela Palace and spend the remainder of your evening at your leisure.
Enjoy breakfast the next morning, and take a private transfer to New Delhi airport for your flight when you are ready.
I'd say it has met or exceeded all my expectations. Everything is as beautiful as I expected it would be, but there was a lot more maneuverability on the ground as far as spontaneity.

The highlight of the trip was not needing to plan anything. It feels so freeing to just be able to get on a flight, not have to do any work for the trip, and have a far beyond amazing experience that's not so touristy and more localized. Another thing I loved was that we had a driver and a tour guide everywhere we go.

This trip is very interesting because you're traveling with a group of people, but you're also traveling with yourself and your spouse or your significant other. So you have an ability to be together as a group and also to do things with your significant other. I thought that was a fantastic way to run this trip.
