Twenty Years

Twenty Years. One Continent. No Compromise.

Remote Lands Twentieth Anniversary mark

Across Asia, a familiar city can still surprise us. A return visit reveals a different neighborhood; a conversation changes how we understand a place. After twenty years devoted to the continent, that curiosity continues to shape Remote Lands.

Today, we bring the depth of our experience to journeys designed around you, combining thoughtful exploration with exceptional places to stay and attentive personal service. Our anniversary is an opportunity to share more of what draws us back to Asia, and to thank the travelers, colleagues and partners who make that exploration possible. We look forward to discovering more together.

A Journey That Is Yours

A Journey That Is Yours

Your interests are our starting point. Perhaps you want to introduce your children to another culture, explore a longstanding passion for architecture, or spend time somewhere extraordinary with the people closest to you.

We design your private journey around those priorities, considering how long to spend in each place, which guides will suit your interests and where a quieter day will be welcome. Hotels, transport and experiences are chosen to work together, with our team managing the arrangements and supporting you throughout. You can follow your curiosity and enjoy the places you have come to see.

WHAT CANNOT BE MANUFACTURED

WHAT CANNOT BE MANUFACTURED

In the years since, Remote Lands has cultivated something that cannot be manufactured: genuine intimacy with a continent. With its landscapes and its people. With the hidden corners that reveal themselves only to those who have earned the trust to find them. The network built over two decades—with artists and architects, naturalists and community elders, from royal palaces to remote mountain villages—forms the quiet foundation of every journey. It is what turns an itinerary into an encounter.

The milestones have come through depth, not breadth. The partnership with Virtuoso. The worldwide exclusive for the Aman Jet Expeditions—carrying a small, discerning few to the very edges of the continent. A portfolio that spans the iconic and the almost entirely unknown, each destination chosen because it rewards the traveler willing to go beyond the surface.

The result should never feel engineered. The planning recedes; the place comes forward. A journey moves at the right pace, opens the right doors and leaves room for the unexpected. That is the difference depth makes.

The Best of Both Worlds

The Best of Both Worlds

Asia’s extraordinary places to stay are part of the pleasure of traveling here. So is the chance to venture further: into Himalayan valleys, through island archipelagos by private yacht, or across several destinations on an Aman Jet Expedition.

Our journeys bring that spirit of exploration together with careful attention to your comfort. A remarkable retreat can sit alongside time in a remote landscape or a day immersed in local culture. We look for combinations that make a trip richer, opening up different ways to experience Asia in a single journey.

ONLY JUST BEGINNING

ONLY JUST BEGINNING

Our next chapter is about exploring Asia in greater depth. We will continue to create journeys shaped around what fascinates you, from living craft traditions and conservation to food, history and spirituality. There is room to follow a particular interest, stay longer in one place and discover what a brief visit might miss.

We remain devoted to Asia, strengthening the relationships and local knowledge built over two decades while finding fresh ways to explore the continent. Our aim is to make complex travel feel effortless, give back more thoughtfully to the communities that welcome our travelers, and keep learning from the people and places we encounter.
