In addition, guests will lay their heads at revered Aman properties that encompass everything from private-island resorts to retreats hidden away amid ancient forests. Here's what you need to know.
IN FLIGHT
The Aman Jet Expeditions are the result of a unique partnership between Aman and Remote Lands.
The jet is a magnificent custom outfitted ACJ 319, equipped with just 20 seats instead of the standard 150. The interior is configured in a spacious lounge design— there are two lounges in total — creating a relaxed, comfortable, and social atmosphere that is world-removed from the stiffness of commercial flights or standard business jets.
Champagne, libations, and an ever-changing menu of culinary offerings are served throughout. Indeed, we like to say that the flights are like a ‘cocktail party in the sky’. So convivial is the flight experience, that many guests rank it among their favorite parts of the expeditions due to the opportunities to socialize in the sky with interesting and like-minded people. Three flight attendants will take care of you onboard, while there are also two pilots and an engineer on the flight.

On the Aman Jet Expeditions, highly-curated special experiences — all of them handpicked by the experts at Remote Lands and Aman — come to the fore. Whether that's helicopter rides over Mt. Everest or Sigirya 'rock fortress' in Sri Lanka, sushi-making lessons with a fifth-generation sushi chef, tiger safaris in India, sunrise breakfasts over Asia's largest Buddhist temple or hiking up to Tiger’s Nest Monastery in Bhutan, each journey is packed with adventure and deep immersion in local culture. All touring is with a private car, driver, and guide per couple or solo traveler. So, while expeditions involve a fun social group atmosphere, they retain the benefits of private travel.

In addition to these unforgettable destinations and experiences, you'll meet renowned experts in their field over dinner and cocktails with special guests having included the likes of both the Japanese and Bhutanese former ambassadors to the UN, a Cambodian princess, and the grandson of Tenzing Norgay, the legendary mountaineer who summited Mt. Everest with Sir Edmund Hillary.

ELEVATED ACCOMMODATIONS
There are many stars of the show on each Aman Jet Expedition. And some of the brightest stars in the firmament are the Amans themselves. Each trip showcases a contrasting variety of different Amans, all underpinned with the same minimal aesthetics and boutique feel the brand is celebrated for. You can experience Amans in various settings including in the cool heights of the Himalayas, in downtown Tokyo, and on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey. Four to eight properties are featured, depending on the trip. Sometimes a non-Aman property will be added to an expedition to improve logistics and make the trip even more special. For example, the next Aman Jet Expedition — a Mindful and Cultural Journey — begins at Dwarika’s in Kathmandu, which offers an opportunity for a helicopter journey over Everest, before moving onto Amankora in Bhutan.
