Classic Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan is arguably Central Asia's most fascinating destination - an exhilarating mix of beautiful scenery, ancient Silk Road cities and diverse ethnic groups. Our 10-day Classic Uzbekistan itinerary is the perfect introduction to this fascinating country, and includes the historic cities of Samarkand and Bukhara with their stunning architecture, the intricately decorated city of Khiva, awash with blue-covered domes and rooftops, as well as the vibrant capital city of Tashkent.
Exploring the Jewel of Central Asia: Natural Charms of Kyrgyzstan
Kyrgyzstan reminds us very much of Mongolia - breathtaking scenery with high peaks and huge lakes; welcoming nomadic people; wide open spaces; and countless opportunities for hiking and horseriding - while being much less developed as a destination. This 9-day trip will introduce you to the Natural Charms of Kyrgyzstan including the raging rivers and stark desert of Chon-Kemin National Park, the astonishingly beautiful Issyk-Kul lake, and lush Chunkurchak Valley surrounded by snow-capped mountains, as well as its rapidly developing capital Bishkek.
Ancient Kazakhstan: A Journey Back in Time
Kazakhstan is the largest landlocked country in the world, and the ninth largest overall - so there's no shortage of places to see and things to do from skiing in the Tien Shan Mountains, to sunbathing on the pristine beaches of the Caspian coast! Our 12-day Ancient Kazakhstan itinerary takes you deep into the history of this enormous country including the capital city of Almaty, the stunning Charyn Canyon (the world's second largest after the Grand Canyon), and the prehistoric sites of Berikara Gorge, finishing up in the ancient city of Turkestan with Kazakhstan's greatest architectural monument and its most important pilgrimage site.
Ancient Wonders of Uzbekistan & Turkmenistan
Follow in the footsteps of Tamerlane on this epic 14-day, two-country journey across Central Asia. Take a journey from the world’s Islamic capital of Tashkent in Uzbekistan, through the historic inner-city at Khiva to cross the border and camp near burning gas craters and see the ancient Turkmenistani sites of Merv and Ashghabat. View the metallic-coated horses of Akhal Teke and make your way back to the Uzbek cities of Bukhara and Samarkand with their stunning mosques, madrassas and mausoleums.
Natural & Manmade Wonders of Uzbekistan & Tajikistan This fast-paced 14-day itinerary is a journey of contrasts, from the historic cities and buildings of Uzbekistan to the unspoilt nature of neighbouring Tajikistan. You will visit the ancient Uzbek cities of Khiva, Bukhara and Samarkand, all rich in heritage and culture, before moving on to Tajikistan, a magnificent land of stupendous mountains, lakes and rivers. This is a trip that encompasses the beauty, history and diversity of Central Asia.
