Asia Luxury Travel Veteran Joins Remote Lands Management Team
Remote Lands, Inc., the world’s leading ultra-luxe Asia travel designer, is delighted to announce the appointment of Victoria Hilley as General Manager of its New York office.
Victoria will be responsible for the company’s network of elite travel agency clients, overseeing the New York sales team, and creating memorable Asia travel experiences for Remote Lands’ customers. She will be reporting to the Co-Founder and CEO, Catherine Heald.
As a child of top American diplomats, Victoria has been travelling all her life, much of it spent in Asia. After graduating from the University of Virginia, she moved to Asia to work in the travel business in 1996, living in Malaysian Borneo, Bangkok, the Maldives and Vietnam over the last almost 20 years. She ran a luxury tour operator and mega-yacht management company, and then worked in hotel sales and marketing. She recently decided to move back to New York to be closer to her family, and Remote Lands was delighted to welcome her to their team of Asia luxury travel experts.
“I’m very happy to be joining such a prestigious company as Remote Lands” says Victoria. “I can’t wait to share my passion for travel in Asia with my new colleagues and help create inspired journeys for our clients.”
Catherine Heald added “Victoria’s nearly two decades in the Asia travel industry, living in Asia and travelling everywhere in the region, render her ideal for this important position. I can’t imagine finding someone as perfect as she is, and we are all very excited.”

We had a wonderful time on our trip to Sri Lanka....we definitely had numerous experiences that would not have occurred had we just used one of the bigger travel agencies.
A California father and son
Also unforgettable was our experience driving through Beijing in an old fashioned motorcycle side car followed by lunch with a local family in their traditional hutong house.
