See ItineraryNew York, 7 March 2013 – In a milestone for Remote Lands, Inc., the world’s foremost ultra-luxe Asia travel designer has just welcomed its 10,000th Facebook fan. To celebrate, the company has announced a special giveaway for one lucky follower in the coming weeks.
Remote Lands’ Facebook page offers fans an entertaining and informative mix of high-quality photos (many taken by the company’s staff), video and news pertaining to its forte, Asia luxury travel. It’s a blend that has clearly hit the right note, more than doubling the number of page followers in the last six months.
“Our Facebook page is an essential element in our content marketing strategy, which also includes our new blog, Twitter feed and Pinterest boards,” says Tim Russell, Remote Lands’ Director of Sales & Marketing (Asia Pacific). “It’s a great place to post content in a more informal setting and to connect with others who share our passion for experiencing the best that Asia has to offer.”
Russell attributes the page’s success to two elements. “Firstly, we post content about Asia that is relevant, useful and interesting, and we post regularly,” he says. “Secondly, we make sure that, as well as posting content, we constantly interact with our followers by responding to their comments and feedback.”
To thank its followers, Remote Lands is giving away a very special prize – an exclusive weekend for two at the hip new Bangkok boutique hotel The Siam, a luxurious Bill Bensley-designed retreat located in a quiet area on the banks of the city’s Chaophraya river. As soon as the page hits 15,000 followers, one lucky fan will be chosen at random. The winner will enjoy two nights in an elegant Siam Suite, with airport transfers and breakfast included.
