After grad school, Ian Taylor moved to Phnom Penh in 1994, where he worked at The Cambodia Daily newspaper during a pivotal and exciting period of Cambodian history. After six years in Phnom Penh, he relocated to Bangkok.
Since 2006, Ian has worked as a freelance photographer, completing over 1,000 family photography commissions worldwide. He has also worked with many international schools and provided photography for development organizations such as the Asian Development Bank.
He speaks conversational Thai and retains enough Khmer to get into (but not always out of) trouble. In his free time, he plays in bands, hunts for noodles, and kayaks the Andaman. (He has twice paddled the 600 kms from the Thai-Burma border to the Malaysian border.) Ian is always on the lookout for positive stories to photograph
