The Peninsula Bangkok

Why We Love This Hotel :

Location: Because of the Peninsula Bangkok's prime location on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, diners may enjoy stunning, alfresco cuisine as they watch the boat traffic cruise up and down the river - a particularly picturesque experience at night.

Views: One of the most iconic hotels in Bangkok, the Peninsula is cleverly designed so that each room has river views.

Outdoors: Its expansive grounds are home to a large riverside swimming pool and grass lawn.

A culturally rich Thai-colonial home houses the Peninsula’s spa, while a state-of-the-art gym sits alongside a steam room and sauna, whirlpool, and cold plunge pool. The hotel’s iconic 88-meter 3-tiered swimming pool set in a garden along the Chao Phraya is a reason in itself to pay this hotel a visit.

Events Venues

There are a number of attractive venues and bespoke packages for special events, parties and weddings

The Peninsula boasts a fully equipped gym, with cardio machines, free weights, and a number of LCD TV monitors.

Like all other Peninsula properties, the Spa at the Peninsula Bangkok is run by international luxury brand ESPA, which provides a high level of service and comfort to guests.  A blend of Eastern and Western treatments, the Spa features both short, refreshing programs and longer, more comprehensive treatments that range from an hour and a half in length to a full-day.

Swimming Pool

The large swimming pool is equipped with mini Thai-style salas where guests can shelter from the sun, comfortable sun loungers, steam room, sauna, and cold plunge pool.

The Peninsula Bangkok provides world-class dining alongside the romantic setting of the Chao Phraya river, each restaurant providing a unique, rich culinary experience. From the fine Cantonese fare served at Mei Jiang restaurant, to the authentic Thai home-style experience of eating under the stars at Thiptara, guests’ taste buds will enjoy a tantalising jaunt through Asian and international cuisines at this hotel.

Mei Jiang

Set in a refined, upscale setting overlooking the Peninsula's landscaped, manicured gardens, Mei Jiang serves Cantonese specialties.

River Cafe and Terrace

The alfresco dining setting is best visited at night when the Chao Phraya river comes alive with beautifully lit boats cruising its deep waters. Enjoy breakfast or pre-dinner drinks in the open-air bar.

The Bar

The Bar is an old-fashioned hotel bar, built with dark, wood paneling and lined with artwork.  The Bar is furnished with stools and comfortable seating areas, and serves a selection of spirits, beers, wines, cocktails and snacks.

The Lobby

The Lobby serves afternoon tea either inside its air-conditioned confines, or outside on the river terrace.

The Peninsula Pool Bar

The long outdoor swimming pool is lined by mini Thai style salas where guests can shelter from the sun, as well as comfortable sun loungers. The Peninsula Pool Bar, with its triple-tiered design, serves light snacks and refreshing drinks.

The River Bar

The River Bar boasts far-reaching views of the Chao Phraya and serves a mix of cocktails, fresh juices, light snacks and other treats.

Inspired by the design of the ancient Thai capital city of Ayutthaya, Thiptara's decor includes traditional thatched roofs, wood and rattan furniture, and open-air seating. The eatery serves home-style Thai dishes such as green curry and jasmine rice, spicy seafood salad and sweet coconut jelly pudding.
