Why We Love This Hotel :

History: Oberoi Amarvilas looks over one of the most famous monuments in history. The layout and design of the property recalls the grand Moorish and Mughal architecture of the middle ages.

Location: The Oberoi Amarvilas is only 600 meters from the Taj Mahal – a prime position for sightseeing, giving travelers the most advantageous position when visiting this unforgettable site.

Service: This award-winning property is where rock stars and dignitaries stay – every room and suite gets top-notch service from staff on the ground and a 24-hour butler.

As Agra's most exclusive property, the facilities and services here are top-notch, including the world famous Oberoi Spa, a gymnasium, and a beautiful Arabian-style heated swimming pool. An extensive list of spa treatments is available, including Thai massage, scented baths and hair and nail care.

Gym

A modern state-of-the-art gym provides guests with cardio-vascular machines, weights, cross-trainers, exercise bikes and a rowing machine. Visitors can apply their own program or seek the help of one of the Oberoi's trained fitness professionals.

Pool

Framed by archways and bordered by mosaic tiles, the Oberoi Amarvilas' pool is a thing of great beauty. A truly indulgent and elegant feature of the property, it conjures an old Arabian palace and provides an escape from the heat and dust of Agra – heated in winter when the temperature drops.

Spa

Offering the Oberoi's signature treatments, the spa specializes in Ayurvedic treatments, performed by trained Thai therapists. Guests can check in for a rejuvenating massage after a long trip or indulge in one of the Oberoi's signature indigenous packages. Specialty baths, men's treatments and yoga and meditation classes are also offered.

There are two restaurants onsite providing meals until late in the evening while 24-hour room service is available for midnight snackers and early risers. Traditional Indian food is provided, as is an international menu, with drinks provided in the Tea Lounge, along with striking views of the Taj.

Bar

Guests can sit under the stars and soak up the ambience of this elegant property while enjoying a selection of wine, spirits and cigars on the terrace.

Bellevue

The Bellevue offers all-day dining in a casual atmosphere, with regional delicacies and international cuisine available at the buffet. Guests can enjoy a wide range of Indian food prepared for a mild palate.

Esphahan

This venue has two sessions for dinner and serves authentic Indian flavors in a chic contemporary setting. Fine wines complement a wide array of regional dishes encompassing curries, Tandoori and homemade desserts. There's also a set menu. Traditional live music completes the ambience.

Tea Lounge

After a day exploring the Taj Mahal, guests can sit in the Tea Lounge and admire the monument from afar. Light refreshments are served.
