“I want to facilitate a journey that can be both an exciting ‘outer journey’ to the places where we visit, and an ‘inner journey’ for the people participating as we create spaces for reflection and sharing. I will endeavor to create a harmonious group energy and a feeling of a community. I also look forward to experiencing the diverse cultures of Buddhism and other spiritual traditions practiced in many of the places we plan to visit.”

STAY AT SIX AMANS:

AMANKORA THIMPHU - AMANKORA PARO - AMANBAGH - AMAN-I-KHAS - AMANGALLA - AMANWELLA

Dwarika's Hotel & Dwarika's Resort in Nepal will stand in for the original China stage of this journey because China remains closed.

NEPAL

Helicopter to Mt. Everest

Journey to a country rich in spirituality. Kathmandu, the capital of the Himalayan nation, offers rich rewards to those in seek of some spiritual sustenance. A walk on the spiritual side in Kathmandu can take in everything from straggly-bearded sadhus (wandering Hindu holy men) and burning rituals to chanting Tibetan monks focusing on their intricate prayer wheels. The highlight is a breathtaking helicopter excursion to Mount Everest followed by a Champagne breakfast against a backdrop of the Himalayas. After Kathmandu, you’ll be transported closer to the majestic mountains to Dhulikhel, where views of the peaks are a transcendent experience.

BHUTAN

Punakha Dzong

Celebrate the reopening of Bhutan, a magical Buddhist Kingdom perched high in the Himalayas between Tibet and India. Stay at Amankora Thimphu in Bhutan’s capital city surrounded by richly-forested mountains dotted with ancient fort dzongs that evoke a fairytale-like Shangri-la. Drive on to Paro to Amankora Paro, to hike the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery, one of Bhutan’s most revered monuments hanging on a sheer cliff face 3,000 feet above the valley floor.

INDIA

Amanbagh

Journey to Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan known as the ”Pink City” for the color of its opulent palaces and magnificent forts. Go back in time to the palatial Amanbagh, a former Maharajah’s hunting lodge, and rural oasis where people live as simply as they have for hundreds of years. Drive to Ranthambore National Park to Aman-i-Khás, a luxury tented camp in a brushwood forest. Enjoy an open-air jeep safari to track Bengal tigers, Indian leopards, wild boar and striped hyena.

SRI LANKA

Yatagalla Temple

Venture to the lush tropical island of Sri Lanka and stay in the ancient walled city of Galle at Amangalla, within the ramparts of Galle Fort. Wander the narrow streets lined with charming Dutch and British colonial architecture, guided by your private butler. End the journey on the beach at Amanwella in Tangalle, and relax in the warm seas and skies of Sri Lanka, a perfect environment for mindful practice. While you may have read about anti-government protests in Sri Lanka, be assured that these have taken place well away from the country’s idyllic tourist areas which will be visited on this expedition

YOUR PRIVATE JET:
AIRBUS ACJ 319

  • Fitted with 19 seats (instead of 130)
  • Spacious lounge configuration
