Located on a private island, Amanpulo is possibly the perfect beach escape. The 40 Beach, Hillside and Treetop Casitas are modeled on local bahay kubo dwellings, and each has its own golf cart for island exploration. All casitas come with a flat-screen satellite television, DVD/CD player and iPod dock, all connected to a surround-sound system. This romantically remote island caters to those who wish to 'hammock' and beach-comb during their days in paradise, and also to those who seek a more active agenda of ocean adventures. Wi-fi is available throughout the property. Amanpulo is a one-hour flight on the resort's private plane from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) in Manila. The resort has a total of 40 casitas, which comprise of twin-roofed bungalows placed on the hillside and beachfront. The casitas take architectural influence from the Philippine native home (bahay kubo) and have large sliding glass doors opening out onto private balconies and loungers. Inside the spacious properties the rooms are decorated to fit with their local surroundings, with pebblewashed walls, coconut-shell tables, rustic Palawan rice and knife baskets. The rooms are well appointed with king-size beds with rattan headboards, comfortable seating areas, a fridge and hot drink making facilities. The generous Cebu marble bathrooms are well lit with large windows, framed with wooden shutters, the bathrooms feature double basins, a separate changing area, a shower and a stylish bathtub. Each casita has a buggy for exploring the tropical island.

There are is a select amount of private villa homes located just a stone’s throw from the sea, which can be rented or even bought. The villas have either one, two or four bedrooms, private pools and gardens, and separate dining and living areas. Each villa has their own team of dedicated staff including a cook and a housekeeper. Villa guests can enjoy full use of all Amanpulo facilities and services.
Amanpulo has a range of facilities including a 114-foot swimming pool, a spa, library and a boutique and gallery. Those who like to keep active on holiday may utilize the beach sports hut, which provides equipment and trips for water sports or even a game on tennis on the resort’s courts. There is also a dive center onsite, and dive trips and courses can be booked here.
The 114-foot swimming pool emulates the Sulu Sea with its warm inviting water and aqua colored tiles. The pool is secluded and tranquil with bordering bougainvillea trellises. Guests can enjoy relaxing on the over-sized pillows and mattresses or lounging in the three spacious open-air salas dotted around the pool.
From its hilltop position, the Aman Spa looks out towards the sparkling turquoise Sulu Sea. The building is stylistically rustic and in keeping with its native surroundings, inside the quality of the facilities and treatments are world-class. Expect to see Asian and western inspired treatments such as massages, scrubs, body wraps and herbal steams. The spa contains individual treatment rooms with marvelous ocean views, the rooms contain deep-soaking bathtubs, washrooms, dressing areas and steam showers.The spa also offers a salon range of treatments including manicures, pedicures and hair treatments.

Next to the exotic Aman spa, there is a Yoga and Meditation Pavilion over looking the tranquil ocean. There is also a Fitness Pavilion comprising of a Pilates Studio and a fully-equipped gym. After a workout guests may take it easy in the outdoor relaxation areas or freshen up in the steam rooms and cold plunge pools.
Never fear forgetting reading material for your stay at Amanpulo. The library has plenty of books in several languages, travel guides, newspapers, magazines and coffee-table books on Philippine art, design and culture. Sea Sports Hut
The Sea Sports Hut provides a variety of water sports equipment and boat, water sports, snorkeling and scuba diving trips and information.
The resort boasts four floodlit tennis courts and rest shelters. Tennis balls and rackets are available to hire and playing partners can be arranged.
The resort has a range of restaurants and beachside bars for relaxed and intimate dining. There is a variety of food on offer including Vietnamese, Asian, Spanish and international, as well as a decent drink selection.
The marble-top bar serves a range of beers, wines, cocktails and soft drinks, overlooking ocean and Manamoc Island.
The Beach Club is located on a white sandy beach reached by a small walkway through the green gardens from the pool. Guests may enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner and tapas in the sun or sat on reclining lounge chairs under shade umbrellas on deck. There is a comfy seating to kick-back with a drink in the open-air pavilion which is furnished with large mattresses and pillows. Expect to find fresh seafood, Spanish food and fresh salads.
Set on a bamboo raft afloat the Sulu Sea, the Kawayan Bar is the pefrect spot for lounging, swimming and snorkeling offshore. Guests may arrange to have picnics and private evening barbecues at the novel marine bar.
The Lagoon Club is located on the east side of the island, and serves food and drinks, look out for the speciality Vietnamese cuisine.
The resort restaurant overlooks Manamoc Island and the ocean. The all-day dining restaurant serves Asian and international food.
