Buahan, A Banyan Tree Escape

Escape into the wilds of Buahan, an Banyan Tree Escape named for the area’s eponymous village and valley, located just 30 minutes north of Ubud. At this adults-only resort, guests are face to face with nature - lush terraced hills, a gurgling riverbed, wisps of slow-moving mist, and the full cacophony of the jungle - without windows, without walls, without doors. There are only 16 exclusive villas at Buahan, each a slice of paradise, with its own pool and panoramic views of the mesmerizing nature. From villas, to restaurant, to spa, the entire resort is open, breezy, and draws from Balinese traditions and hyper-local products. Herbs and vegetables harvested from surrounding villages and the resort’s own farm are fully utilized everywhere, from the set menu at the restaurant, to infusions at the bar, house-made scrubs at the spa, and even as potpourri within the guest rooms. The Buahan invites guests to a new way of living and experiencing hospitality and nature.
