Hong Kong in September

September through November is the best time to visit Hong Kong. Warm and balmy, the scorching summer well and truly over. In September the highs are just over 30 °C (86 °F) with lows of 25 °C (77 °F), but by November the mercury perpetually hovers between 20 (68 °F) and 25 °C. With the exception of September when the typhoon season is tailing off, autumn is dry. October sees rainfall of just 4 mm per day, and umbrellas are finally packed away. It is an ideal time to sail to one of the regions 200 islands, offering clean quiet beaches. Despite the region’s high population density, and perhaps due to the sheer busyness of the Hong Kong people, the beaches here are much underused and it is not difficult to find one all to yourself.
