Taiwan in March

March to May and the temperatures gradually rise in Taiwan, seeing the start of beautiful spring weather, warm and just a little wet.  Average temperatures are usually between 15ºC and 27ºC (58-79ºF), with rainfall about 50 mm per month for the season. March is the beginning of the cherry blossom season and the bright pinks are a joy to watch slowly come into bloom, particularly in the pristine mountain town of Alishan in the south, with its forests, tea plantations and ancient Aboriginal villages. Kenting National Park in the tropical south is also superb at this time of year, encompassing beautiful beaches and low mountains, ancient villages, natural protected areas, and sleepy fishing harbors.
