Turkmenistan in June

June to August and Turkmenistan gets hot. Intensely hot, in fact. The capital alone is unusually between 25 and 38 ºC (82-95 ºF), and large parts of the interior regularly top 45 ºC (113 ºF). It is a little cooler on the Caspian coast, but still very hot. The scorching heat makes it an unlikely destination for summer travel for all but the most ardent of masochists, and for those that do, it goes without saying that staying inside in the middle of the day is all but essential.
