The Metropole has a fitness center in the hotel’s inner garden, as well as a large swimming pool and spa. Free fitness classes are available including yoga and tai chi. Those interested in Vietnam’s history may take one of the daily tours underneath the hotel in its own bomb shelter. The bomb shelter was used to protect guests during the American War (1964-1975). Singer Joan Baez recently re-visited the shelter, which she used during her stay at the hotel in wartime.

Boutique

Sofitel Legend Metropole has a large boutique shop perfect for selecting gifts to take home, such as Vietnamese lacquered goods and hand-crafted local pottery, as well as jewelry, linen and tailor-made clothes.

Cooking Classes

For those interested in cooking, cooking classes are a popular way to learn about the joys of Vietnamese cuisine. Firstly, stroll with the in-house chef through the colorful local market to select fresh ingredients to be used in the class, after cooking you may enjoy eating the fruits of your labor.

Fitness and Swimming

Guest’s fitness needs are sufficed with a state of the art gym, where each machine is equipped with its own LCD television, and a large swimming pool. Yoga and tai chi classes are free of charge.

French Patisserie

L’Epicerie is the hotel’s own French patisserie, displaying mouthwatering cakes and imported luxuries from France.

Le Spa du Metropole

Le Spa du Metropole is a serene sanctuary, offering treatments with elements of east and west. The spa uses high quality products crafted by distinguished Grasse parfumier.

The hotel has three distinctive restaurants serving French, Italian and Vietnamese cuisine. The Sunday lunch buffet at Le Beaulieu is considered one of the best of its kind in Hanoi, serving fresh oysters from France, seafood, salads and free flow wines. Angelina also offers a lunchtime Italian buffet as well as an extensive wine list, a late license and avant garde lounge bar. To discover mouthwatering Vietnamese food head to Spices Garden for a modern twist on the exotic and healthy cuisine.

Angelina Restaurant and Lounge

This multi functioning avant garde Italian restaurant and lounge is based on the concept of ‘dining and wining’. Angelina hosts live DJs every evening and has a wine filled cellar providing select vintages to enjoy with the music. A popular hangout for Hanoi celebs, Angelina’s food menu mustn’t go unmentioned either, with a wide selection of pizzas, pasta, salads, meat dishes and antipasti. This venue has all the makings for a fun night out.
