Settha Palace Hotel

Why We Love This Hotel :

Location: Based in the epicentre of the city, just minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Vientiane's commercial district, there’s plenty to keep guests occupied while staying in Laos’ beautiful capital city. History: The building that houses Settha Palace was constructed in the earlier years of the last century, and has been restored to its former glory, maintaining its French Colonial appearance. The family who originally owned the hotel are back in possession of it, after the regime change in 1975, and have spared no expense in restoring it to its natural brilliance. Service: With 24-hour concierge service, plus a sophisticated limo service, guests will feel like the VIPs of Vientiane while staying at this hotel.

The facilities on site range from the generously-sized swimming pool, to help guests cool down on those blistering hot afternoons, to the state-of-the-art conference and business centers, where guests can catch up on work. Alternatively, guests can always just slide into the hotel’s plush sun loungers whilst sipping on a cocktail of choice at the poolside bar and soaking up the sun.

Meeting Facilities

Guests organizing events will be pleased with the hotel’s expansive banquet room, with its 16-foot ceilings. The room can be divided into two, with a sound-proof sliding partition, and is fully-equipped with meeting and banquet technological needs, including microphones, sound systems, overhead projectors, and more.

Swimming Pool

The hotel’s lovely pool is surrounded by a lush tropical garden, with rock formations from Laksao in central Laos. Water jets and a poolside bar make this a great place to relax during a hot, lazy afternoon.
With the fine dining restaurant, poolside bar and a cafe on offer they have covered all the necessities for dining and refreshments at the Settha Palace. La Belle Epoche restaurant, with its classical theme, brings elegance and grace in a beautiful setting, with its high ceilings, warm decor and rustic furnishings. Cuisine tends to sway in the French direction but also on offer is an international a-la-carte menu which is bound to please every guest that is lucky enough to dine here. A cafe and bar are also provided, as casual venues where guests can relax.

La Belle Epoque

Translated as “The Beautiful Era”, this French-inspired restaurant recalls the splendour of times past, with classical furniture, exquisite French decor, and decadent French cuisine, with the addition of a seasonally-inspired Lao menu.

Poolside Bar

The hotel’s opulent pool serves up a tempting array of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as light snacks to keep guests satisfied while relaxing and enjoying the picturesque surroundings.

Sidewalk Cafe

The hotel provides guests with a charming sidewalk cafe, where they can sit and people watch or read the paper, while enjoying either a coffee, or a light international or Asian meal.
