La Folie Lodge
Located on the island of Don Daeng not far from Champasak and Wat Phou, La Folie is a French-run lodge situated on the banks of the Mekong. Guests arrive by boat onto a sandy beach. The lodge consists of 24 rooms housed in 12 charming wooden bungalows, all with balconies offering magnificent river views and equipped with air conditioning, TV, WiFi and en-suite bathrooms. The poolside restaurant, open-aired but sheltered by a graceful wooden roof, offers continental cuisine and Asian specialties, from early morning breakfast to late-night snacks, and there is also an excellent wine list.

Bungalow Rooms
These spacious rooms are built with locally sourced materials and elegantly decorated with local handicrafts. Featuring high ceilings and ceiling fan, rooms are cool and quiet sanctuaries, each with a private terrace from which guests can enjoy river and mountain views.
The Residence
This deluxe VIP villa offers extra privacy and luxury for guests seeking extra space and a home-away-from-home experience. This separate, two-bedroom timber house offers more than 1,900-square-feet of living space, and is decorated with unique local art and artefacts. A wide veranda allows guests to enjoy dining and relaxing outdoors with unsurpassed views of the Mekong and Wat Phou Mountains. The Residence features a kitchen, bar, spacious lounge, and king and twin bedding. There's a stereo, flat-screen TV, DVD player and DVD library.
Guests at La Folie Lodge can enjoy the peace and serenity of walks along the Mekong River, boat trips, bicycle hire and the property's riverfront pool.
Pool
Located in front of the restaurant, the pool offers guests amazing vistas of the Mekong River, lush tropical gardens and Wat Phou mountain range. Sun loungers and poolside dining areas are provided.
Authentic Khmer and international cuisine is offered, as well as fresh local seafood from the Mekong River. Guests can take meals in the main restaurant of La Folie Lodge, enjoying breakfast, drinks and WiFi with pool and river views, or privately in their rooms.
The Restaurant
Located by the poolside, La Folie Lodge's beautiful authentically styled restaurant features an ornate wooden roof and gives guests wide garden views and plenty of fresh air with their meals. Open all day, the Restaurant serves up a wide range of cocktails and world-class wines – with the option of dining inside or al fresco by the pool. Continental and Asian cuisines are served.
