Location: Positioned on the Chao Phraya River, The Siam can be reached by boat or car. Guests can travel to major sightseeing locations, such as the Grand Palace and Wat Arun, by ferry.

History: The Siam was faithfully created in vintage style, incorporating Chinese and Thai motifs in a chic Art Deco design style.

Service: This boutique property offers personalized attentive service from one of the most respected hoteliers in Thailand, the Sukosol Group.


The Siam offers a wide range of fitness and leisure activities, including a riverfront infinity pool, a Muay Thai boxing ring and a bathhouse. Opium Spa uses all natural chemical-free Sodashi products and offers a wide range of treatments to balance body and mind. An in-house library and cooking school are at hand for guests who want to take home some local culture.

Bath House

Decorated in mosaic tiles and decadent marble, this elegant vintage-style Art Deco bath house offers hot baths, saunas and steam rooms for men and women. Excellent for detoxing or warming up pre-workout.

Cooking school

Chon’s cooking school offers daytime lessons in Thai cooking. Students accompany the chef to market in the morning to pick out fresh produce, then select from a list of classic Thai dishes to make.

Gift shop

The Siam is full of curios and local antiques. Guests can take home an authentic piece of local history or some locally crafted jewelry from the in-house gift shop.


Equipped with Life Fitness and Octane machines, free weights and punching bags, guests can enjoy their own workout or book a personal trainer. Yoga and Tai Chi takes place on the rooftop terrace while Muay Thai lessons can be booked with a trainer.

Hair and Nail Salon

Guests can be groomed by a professional at the salon, where stylists use chemical-free Sodashi products. The salon does hair cuts, styling, waxing and manicures and pedicures.

Opium Spa

Using chemical-free Sodashi products and offering a long list of therapies, Opium Spa restores balance to fatigue travelers. Various treatments for face, skin and body are offered, including anti-ageing treatments, Thai massage, foot and scalp therapy and longer “journeys” for a more comprehensive experience.


Located right on the riverfront, the Siam’s infinity pool is one of Bangkok’s most stunning. After doing laps, guests can order refreshments at Bathers Bar or take in some sun on the deck.

River excursions and tours

A complimentary speedboat shuttle is available for transfer to the main pier at Saphan Taksin, a journey of about 25 minutes. River excursions are also offered on request, exploring the canals in Thonburi area - a part of Bangkok that houses river communities. Private guides are also available for tours of Bangkok’s historic sites.


The Siam boasts authentic Thai cuisine and an extensive Western selection in its various eating venues. Executive Chef Blair Mathieson selects local produce in a farm to table approach, ensuring ultimate freshness and flavour. Guests at The Siam have the privilege of dining riverside with sparkling views of the Chao Phraya, or ordering in-room dining for an intimate evening.

Bathers Bar

This stylish poolside venue offers views over the Chao Phraya and is the perfect place for sun-downer drinks. Day beds and comfortable lounge seating is available.

Cafe Cha

Guests can indulge in a decadent afternoon tea here, enjoying a wide selection of tea or champagne with scones and Cornish clotted cream. Cucumber sandwiches, quiches, brioche and macaroons are part of this sumptuous meal.

Chef's Table

For a special experience, guests can book a chef’s table meal in the evening in Chon’s cooking school. Diners can select their chef from those available on-site, who will craft a bespoke meal from the freshest local ingredients.


The Siam's main restaurant is named after the Thai word for spoon, symbolic of service and sharing. Chon serves traditional Thai food over looking the famous Thai river. The restaurant is housed in three century-old Thai teak houses. Guests may also learn to cook Thai cuisine in the restaurant’s cookery school.

Deco Bar and Bistro

Evoking the jazz age with its classic Art Deco style, this venue offers guests international cuisine set over two levels. Open all day, guests start the day with breakfast here and can linger until late in the evening with a menu of sophisticated cocktails.
