Fairmont Peace Hotel
Opened in 2010, The Fairmont Peace Hotel breathes new life into the Peace Hotel, a vestige of Shanghai’s pre-WWII glory days. This magnificently decorated building that miraculously survived the Cultural Revolution has sumptuously restored guestrooms and suites, including the famed Nine Nations Suites: the Indian, English, Chinese and American have been preserved from the original hotel, while the French, Italian, Spanish, Japanese and German suites have been redesigned in keeping with their original concepts. There are a few lounges to enjoy a cocktail or cigar: Cin Cin, Jasmine Lounge, which also serves afternoon tea, and the Jazz Bar for live music. There are three restaurants, including a casual French bistro, Victor’s, The Cathay Room for modern European cuisine and Dragon Phoenix for Cantonese. The fitness center has the latest in gym technology and also offers group classes. Willow Stream Spa offers massage and spa and beauty treatments based on ancient Chinese healing. The Fairmont is about one hour’s drive from Pudong International Airport.

An indoor temperature-controlled pool provides a tranquil place for a relaxing or invigorating swim. The pool enjoys natural sunlight from a skylight and poolside loungers are available. Towels are provided.
Willow Stream Spa
Drawing upon ancient traditional Chinese therapies, the spa promotes balance of yin and yang via modernized treatments and pampering spa products. Signature experiences are offered as are massage, facials and reflexology. There are also experience showers, steam rooms and saunas, plus full waxing services.
Cin Cin Wine and Cigar Lounge
Located on the mezzanine level, this sleek art deco bar offers a wide selection of Old and New World wines, plus imported cigars. Open Tuesday to Saturday from 6pm to 2am, with regular live entertainment.
Dragon Phoenix
This traditional Chinese restaurant offers top-notch Shanghainese and Cantonese cuisine in an opulently decorated environment. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the specials here include Shanghai hot pot and sizzling pork belly.
Jasmine Lounge
This beautifully restored dining room offers an indulgent afternoon tea, plus beverages and light snacks from 11am to midnight. A wide range of teas are on offer, as are evening cocktails with a Tea Dance taking place every Saturday afternoon showcasing classic ballroom dances from the Golden Age.
The Cathay Room
Open for lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch, the Cathay Room is Shanghai's preferred destination for European fare. Modern home-style dishes are offered a la carte or in a lunch set, with diners enjoying views of the Bund from the terrace.
The Jazz Bar
