Asia's leading contemporary art fairs have become some of the most anticipated events on the global creative calendar. FRIEZE SEOUL
SEPTEMBER 2–5, 2026

Since launching in 2022, Frieze Seoul has rapidly established itself as one of Asia's most important art events. The fair reflects South Korea's growing influence across culture, design, fashion, and entertainment, attracting leading galleries and collectors from around the world. Visitors can pair the fair with explorations of Samcheong-dong's galleries, the creative energy of Seongsu, and the city's dynamic culinary scene. Four Seasons Hotel Seoul provides a sophisticated base from which to discover both the capital's contemporary culture and historic palaces.
TOKYO GENDAI
SEPTEMBER 11–13, 2026

Tokyo Gendai offers an excellent introduction to Japan's contemporary art scene while showcasing leading galleries from across the region and beyond. Yet the fair is only one facet of a city where creativity permeates everything from architecture and fashion to food and craftsmanship. Visitors can spend their days exploring Omotesando, Roppongi, and Ginza before seeking out smaller galleries, independent boutiques, and neighborhood eateries. Aman Tokyo remains one of the city's most iconic addresses, while Janu Tokyo offers a fresh take on urban lifestyle and luxury.

One of Asia's longest-running art fairs, Art Taipei provides insight into Taiwan's flourishing contemporary art landscape while highlighting artists from across the region. The event is an ideal gateway to a city known for its creative spirit, excellent museums, and deeply rooted cultural traditions. Beyond the fair, travelers can browse independent bookstores, explore lively neighborhoods, and sample everything from refined tasting menus to beloved night-market classics. WEST BUND ART & DESIGN

Held along Shanghai's revitalized waterfront, West Bund Art & Design reflects the city's emergence as one of Asia's leading centers for contemporary art. The fair sits at the heart of a district now home to major museums, galleries, and striking architectural projects overlooking the Huangpu River. The Asian edition of the world's most influential art fair returns to Hong Kong with an impressive roster of international galleries and artists. Alongside museum-quality exhibitions and major sales, Art Basel transforms the city into a week-long celebration of contemporary culture. Beyond the fair, visitors can explore M+, the Hong Kong Palace Museum, and the thriving gallery scene in Central and Wong Chuk Hang, before dining at some of Asia's most acclaimed restaurants of which 77 are Michelin-starred.
