Aman is set to bring its brand of minimalist, intuitive luxury to the Maldives with the announcement of its newest property, which is slated to open in 2027.
Located in the Vaavu Atoll in the South Asian nation Aman Maldives will be the brand’s 21st destination, adding to its collection of 35 properties worldwide.
Aman Maldives will feature a 52-room resort and 16 private residences, designed by Kerry Hill Architects.
Known for its remote location and excellent diving, the resort’s design takes inspiration from the natural surroundings of the spectacular atoll with its white sand beaches and clear turquoise waters.
The resort will offer a variety of accommodation options, with standalone pavilions ranging from one to three bedrooms, all featuring private pools. Dining options will include multiple restaurants, a beach club, and private dining areas, all designed to complement the island setting.
Aman Maldives will also feature a 2,638-square-meter spa located on its island, offering wellness experiences, including two private Spa Houses. Guests will also have access to a dive center and watersports for exploring the nearby reefs.
In addition to the resort, the property will include 16 residences with five to 10 bedrooms, each set on individual islets. These private homes will offer a 25-meter swimming pool, a personal landing jetty, and views of the sunrise from the eastern side of the island.
Vlad Doronin, Chairman and CEO of Aman Group, said, “Aman Maldives represents an important step for our brand, as we bring Aman’s unique style and service to the Maldives. This project is in response to requests from our guests and is part of our growth strategy. It reinforces our dedication to providing unique and transformative experiences in the world’s most exceptional locations.”
Construction of Aman Maldives is already underway, with more details and an exact opening date to be shared soon.
