The Ritz-Carlton, Bangkok Opens at the City’s Iconic One Bangkok District

The 260-room landmark overlooking Lumpini Park draws inspiration from the grandeur of nearby traditional Thai residences.

Bangkok’s ever-expanding portfolio of world-class luxury hotels has been bolstered by the arrival of The Ritz-Carlton, Bangkok, which officially opened its doors at the end of 2024.

Situated within the iconic One Bangkok district—a globally renowned hub of business and lifestyle—the hotel stands as a testament to elegance and cultural refinement.

Rising 216 meters and overlooking Lumpini Park, the hotel is a sanctuary where Thai tradition meets contemporary luxury, setting a new benchmark for transformative guest experiences.

“The debut of The Ritz-Carlton, Bangkok is a significant milestone as we introduce our signature personalized service and immersive experiences to one of Asia’s most vibrant cities,” said Jenni Benzaquen, Senior Vice President of The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, and Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts.

“This property beautifully marries Thailand’s cultural richness with The Ritz-Carlton’s legacy of timeless elegance, creating a truly extraordinary destination for global travelers.”

Designed by Chicago-based SOM and Thailand’s A49, the tower’s façade features open-air terraces that capture breathtaking views of Lumpini Park and the Bangkok skyline. Interiors by PIA, Thailand’s premier design firm, pay homage to both traditional and modern aesthetics, weaving together the past, present, and future of Thai luxury.

Inspired by the “Meeting of Two Civilizations” concept, The Ritz-Carlton, Bangkok celebrates the city’s rich history as a global cultural crossroads. Guests are welcomed into a grand foyer that evokes the intimacy of a private residence, adorned with curated artwork and photographs.

Accommodations range from the 50-square-meter Deluxe Rooms to the opulent 389-square-meter Ritz-Carlton Suite, with all rooms offering floor-to-ceiling windows and private terraces. Each space combines classic Thai artistry with contemporary comforts, providing panoramic views and a deep sense of serenity.

The Club Lounge on the 23rd floor offers an exclusive retreat, featuring five daily culinary presentations and personalized services, including bespoke in-room amenities and a dedicated concierge.

The hotel’s dining venues promise unique culinary journeys. Duet by David Toutain, helmed by Michelin-starred chefs, showcases modern French cuisine in a glasshouse setting. Lily’s reinvents classic dishes with interactive, shareable plates, while Caleō offers a romantic setting for afternoon teas and signature cocktails with dramatic, theatrical presentations.

The Ritz-Carlton Spa features five treatment rooms, a couple’s suite, and two serene pools nestled amidst lush greenery, providing an oasis of relaxation. For younger guests, the Ritz Kids Club offers engaging activities, fostering creativity and exploration.

With a Grand Ballroom accommodating up to 1,200 guests and nine versatile event spaces, The Ritz-Carlton, Bangkok sets the stage for unforgettable celebrations, from weddings to corporate events. The ballroom’s state-of-the-art technology and expansive pre-function areas enhance its appeal for high-profile gatherings.

Daily experiences immerse guests in Thailand’s cultural vibrancy. Signature moments include the evening Klong Yao drum ceremony and morning Tai Chi sessions on the Terrace, while guided art tours and flower-pressing workshops offer creative engagement.

“Our goal is to bring Thai traditions and culture to life through thoughtfully curated experiences,” said Tina Liu, General Manager. “The Ritz-Carlton, Bangkok represents the essence of Thailand’s graceful past and dynamic future, offering guests memorable journeys steeped in cultural discovery.”
