Azerbaijan in March

Spring starts to creep across the central plains in the beginning of March and spreads to the mountainous regions by April. Rain can be found in parts of the country as snow warms up; Nakhchivan's arid climes give in to bursts of spring showers. Spring frosts are short and wildflowers bloom in earnest across the valleys while mountains are still thawing. By May, summer is on the way as temperatures begin to soar in the Absheron peninsula and lowlands where average daily temperatures reach 68F/20C. This is one of the best times to travel to Azerbaijan.
