See ItineraryThough there is less change further east, the coasts, particularly the southern coasts, experience increased rainfall from March that continues into the winter, with more than 8 total months of “rainy season”. Summers can be hot, though there is regular sunshine throughout the summer season, and it is an ideal time to visit the country’s beaches in the west. June, July, and August are reliably hot months at around 23 °C. Due to the rains beginning in earnest throughout the country in autumn, summer is a good hiking time, as many of the higher elevations are warmer.
