Georgia in May

With warmer temperatures and blooming flowers, spring is one of the most popular times to visit Georgia. Though it’s likely still too cold for swimming in the Black sea from Batumi, average temperatures in the low-lying areas of the country average around 15 °C (59 °F), making it the ideal time for hiking, horseback riding, and other outdoor activities. Summer comes early to Georgia in April and can heat up to as much as to 20 °C (68 °F) but can also experience severe drops in temperature. While the end of May brings much warmer temperatures, more frequent rainfall can bring cloudy skies to Batumi, popular seaside destination and Georgia’s second largest city.
