Aman Japan Culinary Journey 2024
Tokyo · Shima · Kyoto
May 14–23, 2024
See ItineraryJune to August is summer in Tajikistan, and it is hot and dry, with temperatures in the capital between 20 and 35°C (68-95°F). The heat is such that it is undoubtedly the best time to head into the cooler mountains. The Pamir Highway is a particular standout journey at this time, one of the world’s most scenic roads, its remote and desolate beauty awe-inspiring. The very highest elevations and eastern Pamirs are still cold at this time, despite the summer, with temperatures rarely rising above 5°C (41°F). Hardcore climbers should pack accordingly.
An Asia-focused magazine brought to you by Remote Lands - a platform for adventure, luxury, and authenticity from experts and explorers around the continent.
This highlight of the Pamir Highway features jagged peaks, a rushing river, and timeless Tajik culture
If you dream of hiking the Haft Kul, or Lake Loop, of the Fann Mountains for the crystal blue waters and lonely trails, this piece will get you started.
The history of the Wakhi people and the Wakhan Valley is complex, and the journey across the Pamir Highway can be unpredictable, barren, and cold. In the faces of the Wakhi people, there is warmth.
Here is a small selection of the kind words our clients have said about us recently.
The guides and drivers were very knowledgable about the areas and took care of us well
We wanted to visit hospitals, a nursing class, and a school classroom to interact with the local people, and Remote Lands was able to arrange all of this for us.
You are invited to Remote Lands’ signature Aman Jet Expeditions, in partnership with our friends at Aman. These are small group journeys designed for people who usually travel independently.
