Why We Love This Hotel :

Location: The Soneva Fushi is located on the Baa Atoll, a comparatively large atoll with wide uninhabited beaches and lush green jungle.

History: Soneva Fushi was the first eco property in the Maldives and continues to support sustainable tourism in the area.

Service: Guests are treated to five-star comforts with no carbon footprint, complemented by warm Maldivian hospitality.

The Soneva Fushi has an award-winning Six Senses Spa, PADI-accredited dive center, fitness center, watersports, fishing, jogging and sailing. There’s an outdoor cinema and world-class observatory, plus tennis, badminton and beach volleyball.

Guests can book in for private sessions of yoga, fitness classes or Swedish massage. Trainers are also available to advise on fitness programs for weight loss, strength or cardiovascular performance.

Dive Center

The Baa Atoll is part of a UNESCO-protected Biosphere Reserve and offers abundant opportunities for diving. More than 30 world-class sites are in the near vicinity, and accredited professional guides are able to lead dives of any skill level. Whale sharks, manta rays and turtles are just some of the species that pass through these waters.

Perched on top of a hill is the property's world-class observatory. Guests can scan the night skies and marvel at constellations normally obscured by light pollution.

Six Senses Spa

Guests can retreat to the Six Senses Spa for a wide range of holistic treatments, performed in a relaxing jungle setting. Treatments encompass Eastern and Western techniques, including massage, facials, scrubs, wraps and traditional Ayurvedic therapies. Slow Life treatments are also offered, using ingredients harvested from the resort's gardens.

The lagoon around Baa Atoll is calm and suited for all manner of watersports, including windsurfing, kite surfing, catamaran sailing, wakeboarding, canoeing and kayaking. Fishing is also a popular activity here. The Soneva Fushi offers tennis, table tennis, badminton and beach volleyball. There's an outdoor jungle gym and a jogging trail that passes through green rainforest on its way around the island.

Dining at Soneva Fushi encompasses healthy, sustainable foods catering to every type of palate. There’s indoor and outdoor dining, from the tree-tops to the water’s edge, using locally-grown ingredients and the best of Maldivian produce. Guests can enjoy the ultimate romantic meal on a sand bank, on a nearby island or in the privacy of their own villa.

By The Beach

Perched amid tree branches, this candlelit venue features Japanese and Korean-inspired tapas plates. Using fresh seafood fished from local waters and using ingredients from the onsite organic garden, cuisine here is light and delicious.

This overwater bars allows guests to drink in the scenery while they drink their cocktail - perfect for sundowners or a light tapas meal. Wine and beer are also served, and guests can choose a table or relax in one of the bar's rope hammocks, suspended over the water.

Destination Dining

For an extra special dining experience, guests can have their dinner in one of the islands secluded vantage points. Guests can create their own menu, choose a location and let the staff do the rest.

Down to Earth

This is a new addition to the Soneva Fushi's F&B outlets, serving up Mediterranean fare for lunch and dinner.
