ÀNI Sri Lanka

Located along the beautiful coastline of Dickwella, southern Sri Lanka, the beautiful Ani Sri Lanka estate is the handiwork of Reda Amalou and AW2 of Paris. Contemporary tropical architecture is merged with the finest bespoke finishes and furnishings across the 15 bedrooms of this two-villa estate. The Villa Monara has eight suites while the Villa Divia has seven. Either of the villas can be rented separately, or the whole estate can be rented at once. Both villas have their own oversized infinity pools and are located right along the beach. Rooms are spacious and lavishly appointed. They can be fitted with a king-size or two twin beds. Bathrooms feature both showers and tubs, and many rooms even have private plunge pools. There is a lot to do at the estate besides basking under the sun; namely, there is a private spa, state of the art fitness center, tennis and basketball courts, yoga pavilion, and a shuffleboard court. All meals are provided by the estate’s kitchen according to guests’ preferences, whether this means authentic Sri Lankan meals or International favorites. There are also several places worth visiting nearby, such as the Galle Fort, tea plantations, and Uda Walawe National Park.

Why We Love This Hotel

Group Oriented: The concept of the estate is designed around bringing groups of friends, family, and acquaintances together and closer. They’ve built their business around this concept, and they are good at it.

Service: The estate’s surface is thought-out and comprehensive, and everything from in-room masseuses to private tennis instructors can be arranged.

Luxury: Whether to relax at the private plunge pool, villa infinity pool, or in the ocean itself is a question guests of the estate will have to come up with an answer to — it’s a good problem to have.

This luxurious oceanfront estate is divided into two villas, Monara and Divia, which have eight and seven bedrooms, respectively. Both have three Split-Level Master Suites and three Classic Master Suites. The beach is directly accessible from both villas, and both also have their own infinity pools and water slides. The rooms combine contemporary tropical architecture with the finest bespoke finishes and furnishings. Spacious rooms can be appointed with king-size beds or two twins, and all are fitted with private bathrooms with showers and bathtubs. Several of the suites even have private plunge pools. Sunlight gloriously floods into the rooms, but blackout curtains can keep it out if desired. Such modern amenities as Apple TV, Netflix, and high-speed Wi-Fi are available, as are air conditioning and minibars.

Split Level Suites

Split Level Suites

There are eight Split-Level Suites throughout the resort. These rooms cover 97 square meters and occupy two floors. Clean white surfaces anchor the dark wood ceilings and supports, and bespoke furnishings add to the feeling of luxury. The ground floor has outdoor seating and a lounge while the sleeping quarters are above. Private bathrooms feature baths and indoor or outdoor showers. Four of these rooms are fitted with private pools.

Classic Suite

Classic Suite

Covering an expansive 138 square meters, all of these lavish rooms have private terraces from which scenic ocean views can be enjoyed. Private bathrooms are fitted with baths and either indoor or outdoor showers. There are four of these types of suites in the estate, and three of them feature private plunge pools.

Family Suite

Family Suite

These 64-square-meter suites are designed especially for kids. They can be appointed with two twins and have private bathrooms with a shower, bath, and walk-in closet. They can be directly connected to adjoining classic masters for adults traveling with their children.

A number of facilities at the estate are geared toward relaxing and having fun with friends and family. There is a spa that provides both Western treatments and traditional ones rooted in thousands of years of development. Besides relaxing at the spa or lounging around the villa’s infinity pools, there are also numerous options for exercise. A fitness room and yoga pavilion are on-site, and there are also courts for tennis and basketball. Beach volleyball can be arranged, and a shuttle board court awaits. Finally, whether guests have aspirations of sighting whales or simply want to relax out at sea, the estate’s private yacht and catamaran are ready to whisk them away at a moment’s notice.

Exercise Facilities

The estate has a number of facilities for exercise. An on-site fitness center is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, and there is also a tennis and basketball court. Personal trainers can be provided for all activities, and classes are regularly held at the yoga pavilion. Aqua aerobics, cross fit, beach volleyball, and beach jogging are also available.

Pools

Both villas have their own private infinity pools. There is an attached pool bar, and the waterslide shoots guests down into the children's swimming pool.

Spa

The resort's Ocean View Spa Room is for two guests. A number of treatments can be enjoyed here, but the Ayerveda-style massage options constitute their signature treatment. Meaning "knowledge of longevity of life” in Sanskrit, Ayerveda techniques have been practiced for over 4,000 years with the intent of creating harmony within the body. Warmed oils infused with up to 75 different types of herbs are used for the treatment, adding to the experience.

Yacht and Catamaran

Available to guests of the estate, these luxurious vessels can be used for whale watching or simply enjoying the day and taking a dip in the ocean.

Chef Cyril runs the estate’s kitchen, which serves Sri Lankan and International dishes. Guests are invited to make requests of the kitchen, or they can leave it to the chef to surprise them with meals within their provided preferences. Dishes are beautifully presented and made with the freshest ingredients. A la carte breakfasts are composed of a selection of eggs any style, pancakes, waffles, juices, and daily specials, and in terms of alcoholic beverages, there is a wide array of spirits, wines, and beers available. Perhaps the biggest perk of the dining and beverage services at the estate, though, are their flexibility. Meals are catered to the guests’ specific needs, and the staff goes to great lengths to make sure the bar is stocked with their favorite drinks.
