Opening December 15, 2026, HOTEL THE MITSUI HAKONE will be the brand’s new flagship luxury resort, set across 34 acres within Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park on historic grounds once occupied by Mitsui family villas. Designed by internationally acclaimed Yabu Pushelberg, the resort will feature just 126 spacious rooms, suites, and villas, each with its own private bath supplied by the property’s natural hot spring, with select accommodations offering expansive terraces and views of Mount Sengen. Dining will range from kaiseki, sushi, and teppanyaki at SANKEI to seasonal cuisine at RIVERINE and Japanese whiskies and cocktails at The Bar LAMBENT. A natural Thermal Spring, indoor and outdoor bathing, five-room spa, walking trails, riverside terrace, and forest-set yoga terrace complete this refined retreat in one of Japan’s most celebrated hot spring destinations. The hotel is approximately a two-hour drive from Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND).
