Stretching north from the Annapurna range towards Tibet, the ancient Kingdom of Mustang is one of Nepal’s most unique regions. Indeed, with its high-altitude desert landscapes and procession of Buddhist chortens (stupas), you could be forgiven for thinking you'd passed by the border crossing into Nepal's northern neighbor without realizing it.
