Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort has completed a remarkable transformation of its rooms, unveiling a refreshed take on tropical elegance after an extensive renovation.
With a US$2 million investment, the renovation underscores Anantara Bophut’s dedication to offering one of the finest and most distinctive guest experiences on Koh Samui.
The enhancements feature redesigned rooms, a newly envisioned Kids and Teens Club, and a state-of-the-art Technogym fitness center set to debut in Q1 and Q2 of 2025.

Helmed by the renowned Abacus Design, the renovation draws from the resort’s verdant gardens and landscape designer Bill Bensley’s philosophy of harmony between people, animals, and nature.
Situated within a historic coconut plantation, the redesigned rooms seamlessly merge indoor comfort with the tranquility of nature, showcased through earthy wood tones and muted greens.
The upgrades prioritize spaciousness, natural light, and understated sophistication across the Premier Garden View, Deluxe Garden View, and Deluxe Sea View Room categories.
Highlights include:
Vaulted Ceilings: Third-floor rooms now feature soaring ceilings, enhancing the sense of openness.
Expanded Balcony Doors: Enlarged doors invite more natural light, deepening the connection with lush surroundings.

Modern Interiors: Refined flooring, updated minibars, and an earthy color palette enhance the warmth and elegance of the rooms.
In March 2025, a 150 sqm Technogym fitness center will open adjacent to the resort’s Spa. This cutting-edge facility will include advanced Technogym equipment, from cardio and resistance machines to free weights and functional fitness tools, complemented by online fitness programs for a seamless wellness experience.
By Q2 2025, the island’s premier Kids and Teens Club, “The Treehouse,” will debut in a specially designed space with a private terrace. Inspired by the resort’s playful monkey themed narrative, it will feature treehouse-inspired structures, indoor and outdoor play areas, and Montessori-style activities.
Next door, “The Lounge” will cater to teens with arcade games, a reading corner, and a relaxed hangout vibe. Both clubs will offer enriching cultural programs, including the “Samui Way of Life,” which introduces young guests to the island’s diverse heritage through guided meditations, beach treasure hunts, and traditional practices at the local spirit house.

Since its debut in 2004, Anantara Bophut has been a symbol of tropical luxury on Koh Samui. As one of the island’s original resorts, it features an iconic Bill Bensley-designed landscape with lush gardens, serene lily ponds, and towering Victoria Amazonica water lilies spanning up to three meters. The resort’s story is rooted in the local legend of Gla and Ai-Jow, a man and a baby monkey whose unique friendship symbolizes harmony between humanity and nature.
This captivating tale is woven into the resort’s design, with monkey statues capturing pivotal moments from the story and celebrating themes of connection, friendship, and coexistence.
“Our mission has always been to create an immersive experience that seamlessly blends luxury with nature,” said Thomas Boehringer, General Manager of Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort. “With our redesigned rooms, enhanced Kids and Teens Club, and world-class fitness center, we remain committed to offering guests an unforgettable stay where comfort meets culture and the beauty of Koh Samui.”
